My advanced analytics for tonight say I saw lots of hockey 1st and 3rd periods but not the 2nd. I was sitting at the end where the panthers were on offense 1st and 3rd. Therefore according to my observations the panthers probably should have won 8-1
What a ridiculous 2 games to go to. But at least my oldest kid was spoiled with a warmup puck, signed stick from 70, signed puck from 16, A New Jersey (knight). 2 year old seemed to enjoy himself with all the shiny lights and mascots.
Plus his favorite player scored 2 goals today so I’m sure he will remember that more than who won the game. but seriously they played good to great these 2 games. Average goaltending and it’s a fun couple of wins.
Yeah I don’t think huberdeau made a bad play retaliating. didn’t get a call on an insanely dangerous play when he was not rewarded for making a great hustle play to negate the icing and possibly gain possession for an empty net. so go hit a guy. Keep the GRIT high. Im glad Bruno defended him in his comments. did it “cost” a point maybe. But in that case I think it says more for the team to be angry. Also once kopitar retaliated it should have negated the power play.
That game was brutally officiated last night. Absolutely awful. Quick not getting a penalty for tripping Vatrano after the montour goal was sooo bad. huby getting a roughing for kopitar coming after him was even worse.
right. and there may have been missed calls against Florida but the late ones really stand out. You HAVE to call that one on Huberdeau flying into the boards. The season could have taken a huge hit right there if he got hurt. But really people need to calm tf down saying he cost the team a point. Who the fuck cares in that spot. The team was 5 points clear in the division entering the game. I love the attitude personally. Obviously id prefer Huby not go high on a guy in that spot and instead just try to hit a guy hard and clean but the team deserved to be angry and I like how they showed they were angry. The Kings nearrrrrly gave us our 2021 Ekblad moment, which pretty much ended our chances.
No adversity? Did everyone forget we still have an interim coach for kinda-big-reasons? Also this dude is hilarious. Basically says "counting on being good at hockey isn't good actually"
Counting on possessing the ball and scoring touchdowns and if anyone interrupts our flow that’s a problem. ok?
Hockey people love him despite the analytics clearly being awful. Probably a second pairing D-man who is tough as shit, gets under people's skin but can also give you some offensive punch as well. Toronto and Tampa Bay probably aren't thrilled that he's in the division. The 1st round pick in '23 given is a bit ambitious but this is the sign of a team going all-in and hedging that the '23 first rounder will be in the late 20's or early 30's.
Without making a single move this offseason the Panthers are still a top 5 team in the NHL barring catastrophic injury. I'm not worried about that pick coming back to bite us. I'm more worried about the fact they paid so much for a mediocre player. There were better options out there. Anyway, I'll feel better when Giroux gets annoucned.
Panthers are 100% all in. Not that there isn't enough smoke out there on this, but I'm told the deal is all but done.
Supposedly the director of travel and player relations is in Philly tonight. No reason for that to happen unless it’s to personally escort a high profile acquisition back to Sunrise. I’m being told it’s not the director but someone in hockey ops. Getting a bit of misdirection on whether it is a scout or not. Scout would be normal. Anyone else, not so much.
Really good. Best player on the market. Not a need at all but he makes an already elite offense even better. He’s also good defensively. like adding Ray Allen to the Heat
I need my hands on the entire playoff series for tickets. Not sure how many I’ll make it to but need them
They closed the loophole of allowing STH’s the ability to buy as many extra tix as they want. So I had to buy a 25 game package for next year. That allowed me to buy two sets of playoff tickets for this year and guarantee me Tix for the ASG
May have to do that even if I really need to just sell my entire package next year game by game. Dont want to be screwed if they make a finals run and I do want All Star tickets too. Anyway need a thread title update: Florida Panthers Thread: Let's Go Home Baby! Florida Panthers Thread: Hubeyroux and the Duke Florida Panthers Thread: Shots shots shots-shots-shots shots shots! Florida Panthers Thread: A New Franchise Record for (waves at everything)
These are all good, but I had an idea of my own. The 25 game pacakage is nice becasue the tix are all movable. So my 25 game single ticket package is really 25 vouchers I can combine and use however I want. I'll likely end up going to about 8-12 games where I use 2-3 tix at a time.
Load all of your tix into the Montreal games and then sell them for a profit. That’s my plan for any extra.
id also be selling 90% of my playoff tickets. I just dont want to get to the finals and have one game cost me as much as the 25 game package would have plus I want all star tickets.
CF3234 just talked to a ticket rep. Same deal as far as selling me a Premiere Plan with playoff rights. One thing I didn't know (but understand) is you can't sell 50% of your tickets or they can revoke them. I'm sure that's easy to tell on Ticketmaster but not sure if they track stubhub, etc. Not sure what you know or experienced with that.
the fact that the top line was Verhaeghe - Barkov - OtherGuy and is now Verhaeghe - Barkov - Giroux is so so gross
You could throw the top 9 forwards into a blender and pretty much every combo would be a legitimate top line on a bunch of teams in the NHL. It's scary.
