we have one about .5 miles away. Anjeo is supposedly coming to Nocatee so excited about that. Have heard good things. we got a grumpy’s and love it for breakfast
Not a fan of Cantina Louie. Ordered their Sriracha shrimp tacos and they came with very little sauce so I asked for more. They brought me hot sauce and ranch and said their that's what their Sriracha sauce is. The fuck? One of the owners of Cantina Louie owns One Night Tacos or whatever it's called in Mandarin. I do like that spot.
If you want food poisoning… Also, the Mexican restaurant I’m am tauting as being the best in town, is a dive. Good food, is good food. TacoLu has been living off past success for 10 years.
It may have been better 10 years ago, can't say I went or go often enough to notice. But we still enjoy it now the 2-3 times a year I make it over there.
I said it's still popular, but it's living off location & past success. Many other better options in town.
Añejo is hit or miss, depending on the location. I think the PVB one is pretty good. The locations in Brooklyn & Fernandina Beach are terrible.
Just an amazing local news story here in case anyone didn’t see it already https://www.actionnewsjax.com/news/...hbors-pet-rooster/NMSHEOIKR5FRLFM5KZ6R5SHSLY/
Trying to put together a charity thing with the local sneaker boutique and going to give some shoes to kids for back to school. Would prefer they go to kids that need them, not kids from PV. Basically this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgIfjReNVhj/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Was really hoping for elementary age kids, I should have said that. If we can't find anyone in the next day or two, I'll hit you up.
I’m at my parents in St. Augustine Beach and my brother in law wants to go to BestBet. When did this thing open and how can they even have it there? It’s not Indian land, right?
It's a poker room, not a casino. They've had them for 15 years in Jax. The St Aug one just opened a month or two ago. It's much smaller and much less busy than the Jax rooms but it's nice. The food is solid too. I was there last night, a couple 1-2 tables and a 2-5 table. They have table games on the side but not sure what they are. It's not like blackjack or craps, it's 3 card poker and stuff like that.
Have 2 tickets to Lego Universe at the fairgrounds 1pm Saturday. Bought them for the wrong time and the ticketing system the event uses doesn’t allow direct resell. https://www.brickuniversejax.com $30 for the 2(it’s currently sold out)
I got to see some Lego thing in Houston a few weeks ago (not sure if it was the same exhibit or not). It was pretty awesome. I wasn’t aware that there were tickets, so I just flirted with the girl working the entrance and she let me and my entire work group in for free
Appears to be a different event but this the one? Assume it's pretty similar. https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/...at-houstons-george-r-brown-convention-center/
Moved without any family or friends in the area for a new job. Basically only people I meet or hang out with are women I date. Just miss having close friends and family nearby. Also my rent is going up $300 a month.
Yea that's tough. I moved a few times in my 20's ut got lucky that I became good friends with some guys I worked with. Sorry it's been tough for you.
Brooklyn. Spoiler Work remotely though because our new building is an open office set up that I hate so meeting people has been a tough go
Gonna be tough making friends in a new city, when you are just working from home. I've lived here 17 years now & pretty much all my friends locally are work/industry related. Jax Gooners are a good bunch & a lot of them live, get together in Riverside / 5-Points area outside of meeting up for the Arsenal matches at Culhane's. Let me know if you're ever wanting to watch a match. I'll meet up & can introduce you to that crew.
