Give me pequods or give me death Ew no This is correct Take the architecture boat tour if it's nice out. Green Mill is an old jazz bar where Al Capone used to frequent. They still have the booth where he sat at when he was there.
I think Hendricks is in for a rough year. He had his worst year of his career last year and it was mostly driven by a HR/9 rate that was almost 50% higher than his past career high. So far this spring almost every outing has been plagued by homeruns. If he can't get that under control he's going to have the numbers of a bottom rotation guy, not a #2 like he's been most of his career.
Does it matter? He's not going to be traded, they seem to be fine with him playing out his career in Chicago and being a mentor to the young arms coming up.
just hope these guys on short deals have great starts so we can flip them all for prospects. it’s pretty clear we’re not competing in 2022 and our window opens in 2024
There’s some fandom cognitive dissonance here from me, but I honestly think this lineup has decent upside. Their rotation is fucking dogshit, but their pen should be pretty decent too. If they don’t sell at the deadline (which is fine if they do), I don’t see this team losing 90 games. It helps being in the worst division in baseball
There's definitely potential in the lineup. Need guys like Schwindel and Wisdom to show last year wasn't a fluke. We need Suzuki to be legit. And we need Happ to be consistent and cut the swings from being a dark horse MVP candidate to AAA level player. It's embarrassing to think what this rotation would've been without the Stroman signing.
If the rumors of 7 years $210 million being offered to Correa are legit then I think we're targeting next year to compete. I think a lot of what happens with the young guys like Nico, Davis, and Kilian this year will help determine what they do next offseason.
I think Rivas is a solid backup if Schwindel doesn’t pan out this year. I’m confident he’s a professional hitter
I like the lineup. We need to cut the Heyward bag quick when he sucks again. I like alot of the pen arms as well. Rotation is bad though.
The one thing to be excited about in regards to pitching is we have a lot of young, power arms in the minors.
It'd be nice to actually see if he can be. He should be DHing today with Ortega in center and Heyward on the bench.
I know where 1 inning deep into the 2nd game of the season... but it's so nice to see guys just putting the ball in play even if it's an out to drive in a run. So many games the last 4 years of just swinging for the fences and not just doing the simple shit. Example 1...
Just tearing the cover off the ball this inning. Love the approach at the plate 12 innings into the season.
The rotation is still going to be disappointing. This Brewers team is a bottom 10 lineup in the league, maybe bottom 5 if Yelich is still crap. But this lineup is going to be a lot more enjoyable just because we don't have guys going up and just hacking at the ball.
Sitting in section 116 for a Friday game. Any other good sections in shade for saturdays game that are different? spagett
That whole lower bowl is usually shaded I'd try for seats in the first 5 rows. Sometimes you get stuck behind a pole
Roberts movement on his slider would rank #1 in baseball based on last years data. Not sure if he can keep it that nasty all year but if he can... we got a dude.
Just killed by BABIP today. Heyward should have two hits. Villar should have three. Everyone today has been ripping the ball but just straight to their guys.
The camera work, trouble with replay, and audio issues have been awful. Throw in the fact that Boog is only around 2/3 of the time and it’s really just a shit show. I’m surprised JD hasn’t moved on yet.
I was planning on going to the game tonight but fuck this cold. Went to Fenway yesterday and sat through a 45° game. I have no interest in sitting through another cold game.
I was at the Cubs vs Braves game in 2018 when they scored like 9 runs in the 8th inning to come back and win. I ended up leaving in the 5th inning or so because it was so cold. No regrets, no matter how awesome that game was.
