Was having dinner last night with some friends. One of them is from Odesa (grew up mostly in the US but speaks Russian) and they still talk to family and friends there. Made a comment that sounded like complete conspiracy theory to me but says everyone in Russia knows this: basically that Putin has around 11 body doubles that look exactly like him and sound exactly like him. All public appearances are those body doubles. No one knows where he actually is and attempts on his life are basically pointless at this point.
