Without reading this thread or literally any details about this offer, this is concerning to me. It's literally right in line with his crypto pump and dump MO. Elon buys over 73 million shares of twitter which equates to over 9% of existing shares, then a week later offers to buy all outstanding shares for 54.20 (which, by the way, is a bullshit offer). Of course the value of the stock is going to bump. It's effectively worth 54.20 instead of the 45.85 it opened at this morning. Even if Elon has no intention of buying twitter, his shares are more than $600 million more valuable than they were this morning if twitter is worth $54.20. He does this shit all the time because he can.
really need to increase taxes on the wealthy, especially when politics has become even more driven by them. having a bunch of oligarchs running around is in fact bad.

But they didn’t execute these things into existence, Elon did. As a business owner with like 60 employees, what he’s doing with companies that size while also contributing to the engineering challenges is nothing short of extraordinary

I have never seen proof of any of his supposed "genius". The guy has money. He used that money to get more money - both through buying companies and government subsidies. His best attribute is being able to get smart people to work themselves to death. Did that result in some cool stuff? Yes. Would that have happened without Elon? Maybe. Acting like he is an engineering god or solely responsible for these things happening is the weird part to me. He's a net negative on society.
