Really rough game, it definitely felt like we were going to pull it off and then had it ripped away. Pretty good display nonetheless, with a couple crucial mistakes. Oh well, Champions of Europe for a few more weeks.
benzema and modric are really good and Chelsea made some very stupid errors. It sucks but can’t be too mad after last season.
we've been saying that since September though Militao's absence made an already shaking backline look even worse
they're not good defensively and haven't been for several years some of that is because of the system they play with the fullbacks attacking so far up the field but the backline is quite often less than the sum of its' parts, injuries have been a big issue too
Almost worse that we actually pulled off the 3-0 only to then lose, but hard to be upset about the performance and the fight the team showed. Without a few inexcusable defensive lapses and Benzema being who he is and insanely clinical we win the tie going away.
I’m willing to bet that Roman is demanding some sort of guarantees and not a pretty document of promises that are less likely to be kept than a promise from a politician so the ricketts dropped the bid. Griffin doesn’t care about the sport. He’s in it for the money only. Boehly bid seems to be the best at this point. He’s far from Roman but they have at least run the dodgers to win and appreciate in value long-term with less care to making any current year profits.
This stuff is so fluid, guessing there will be a tweet three hours from now saying their bid is back on and they’re in pole position.
