He seems to be the new what if we get guy for many um fans. Yeah I am sure we are going land a 5star qb from cali after we missed on two in state qbs with super deep ties to michigan.
Seems like a lot of you Florida guys bang on Armwood kids, but True Freshman Kye Stokes is looking like a gem in our 2022 class. Should play a bunch on special teams this year and was one of the stars of our spring game.
Tennessee's Rivals guy is implying that Oregon beat UT's NIL deal for Kasper. Which, if true is fine with me. We beat Oregon's offer for Nico Iamaleava. Also, I'm pretty sure UT's NIL firm is having guys sign non disclosure agreements cause Nico's family went to the Athletic with it.
That is also the implication, yes. Though you guys are about to put a bunch of WR's in the NFL. We could offer more money for Tate, and still Ohio State seems pretty good. I'm not too concerned about Heupel recruiting wide receivers.
"The co-founder of a Michigan NIL partner said of paying recruits: 'Michigan’s not doing that.'" RIP Michigan recruiting
Our collectives are seemingly only paying enrolled players. No reports (yet) of getting involved with recruits. They likely won’t.
Seems to be a north/south divide. The B1G and ND seem to be sticking by the NCAA rule that NIL can’t be used as a recruiting enticement, while the SEC DGAF.
That Trans AM Where are all the SMU boosters now? Time to get the state of Texas back on track. We need the true powerhouse program of SMU to reclaim their spot at the top.
And recruits become.... Nico won't get a dime of that $8 million if he never signs or enrolls at UT. Current players having access to collective money is a recruiting tool.
By even doing a collective you are recruting because you're finding the money for players so they know money will be there if attend.
We're in on fewer 5-stars than any time in recent memory, and still can't recruit offensive tackles despite barely having enough to field a two-deep. So yeah it's safe to say we're not paying for players yet
That's not how that NIL legally works. If they put that into a legally binding contract, it's suddenly at serious risk of getting different sides in trouble. A handshake deal? Maybe. But again, that presents the boosters with a flight risk. If boosters prepay via NIL and a recruit bolts, said boosters would have to sue to get the money back if the recruit doesn't pay it. Which would be a public admission of pay for play, which is an easy one for even the toothless NCAA to enforce. That's why working with existing players, but making it very visible to recruits, is a better way for boosters and collectives to function. They can even quietly communicate it to recruits and obviously some do. But there's not much guarantee for boosters to make up front payments.
Tennessee boosters have lit like $30 million on fire with their choices of how to run their program, what's another $350k for a QB?
The day after the Rose Bowl, we had the son of the owner of the largest Ford dealership in Ohio tweeting that Smith-Njigba needs a better truck since he had such a great game. He deleted it, then posted pictures a few days later with Smith-Njigba and a new truck.
James moves ND back to #1 in the 247 composite rankings for now which is neat- sorry #Texas Tech Red Raiders Adding this kid also next week it looks like:
taking a peek at our 247 mod's first mock, it looks like the shine's worn off a bit and we probably revert back to the mean if progress isn't shown on the field this year
