I really enjoyed MP1, 2 and 3. They need to a good overhaul in mechanics to feel good now though. Hope they do it
have had this in my Steam library forever, I'm feeling the need for a shooter soon so this will probably be it

Managed to snag another PS5 from the Playstation Direct Queue the other day. Got the drop notification from a Twitter account shared previously in this thread, so thanks to whoever posted that.
I bought a few years of PS Now codes when they were cheap so I guess I'm getting Plus Premium. If I didn't I'd probably stick to regular plus and then maybe upgrade for a few months when I though it worth it.
VRR is out, by the way. Was expecting an update after I saw the announcement, but it's just there in settings now. You have to turn on the 'apply to unsupported games' option
Not sure if it will work, but just looked around and saw a suggestion to try until they fix it Screen and video -> video output -> enable 120hz output (off)
It worked found the solution last night, but just confused why it creates a hang/disconnect situation.
I’ll try Tribes of the Midgard with some friends. Wasn’t there a big nerd following on here for this?
Yes, I'm one of those nerds. Havent played in a while, but will definitely jump back in when more people start playing. CUtigers48 if any of you want to play. Also, Curse of the Dead Gods is really fun and does enough to differentiate itself from other Rogulite (roguelike, I still don't know the difference) games to warrant giving it a try.
It’s not really my friends group style of game, but the reviews seem legit, we’re getting bored of other co-op games. So hopefully it hooks them quick
It’s essentially you crank up a game or two that fizzles out then you get a group that gets a good game going and it lasts a couple hours. Every time that happens you learn more and more until you either get as far as possible or a different game grabs your attention. It is an excellent time killer that I killed time with for a couple months
Kinda sucks we won't get a sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy now. Skillup might get his wish for a new Legacy of Kain, though.
Hopefully they can still make a sequel. I don't think Square had exclusive rights so Marvel could technically let anyone work on their games right?
What do people enjoy about playing co-op? Every time I play co-op with friends, I don't really enjoy it. It's too much waiting around or just running around doing nothing.
Square saying that this deal will allow them to invest into blockchain more so they’re just going to embrace being a company of mid outside of what IO does that’s crazy
my god, if they actually make a new Legacy of Kain game I can die happy. But without the original writers and likely the voice cast, I'll still be pretty suspect.
Square is getting dunked on pretty hard for this deal. They basically never cared about anything that didn't do well in Japan. No matter how well it did in the states and Europe.
a game made by some of the same developers of Suikoden series are releasing Eiyuden Chronicles : Rising (the prequel to the main game with 100+ characters coming out early 2023) comes out next week. It's a sidescroller RPG for $20
Good question. We were all teammates at one point, whether it be HS or college so I think we always want that teamwork, communication, and just overall success feeling. We play a lot of survival genres, sandbox, and shooters. Generally all get on from 8pm-11pm. Helps that we’re all single, no kids. To counter, I’m extremely introverted to the point where I honestly don’t need much human interaction. Gaming fulfills that small social need I have. However, there’s days where wearing a headset, waiting on friends, chat lobbies… just a nightmare.
Co-op gaming can be a ton of fun. Destiny has been the game I've played the most over the years but my group has played so many different co-op/mp games at this point.
The Forest, Green Hell, A Way Out, It Takes Two, Conan: Exiles… all worthy of a play through with a friend
Never tried Conan, but played Ark for a few months. Our base kept getting destroyed when we got offline, so we did a houseboat, and eventually spent a few weeks making a base in the coldest most uninhabitable place where nobody would find us. A few days later, a guy riding a dragon swooped in while we were there and destroyed everything in minutes. Uninstalled it that night. Fun game, but didn't like having to join bigger clans to be able to last.
Can’t you do private lobbies? We did that with Conan, but it’s tough because you always needed the host present
Yep, Conan is the same. I highly recommend The Forest and Green Hell. Whether it’s single player or co-op. What an amazing time.
Sooo just played tribes for about half an hour and have some questions. Can you save? What is the end goal? You play with more than just your party? What else do I need to know?
You have to get to the final boss location (fenrir when i was playing) by doing various things and building a bridge to get there. You can save solo games, but there are public lobbies that can't be saved. If you don't think your lobby is going to be able to beat the boss, you can exit the game through a portal (not sure what they are called) and collect some rewards still. Build up your base and have a couple people protect when the waves are coming, but most of the people should be focused on farming mats and defeating the giants. You can usually tell early on if you're in a good or bad lobby. Everyone should be dumping all their mats into the community chest. If the chest isn't getting anything added to it, or if people are constantly emptying it then you need to cut your losses and exit at the first opportunity you can use the portal.
About to play Trek to Yomi, if anyone is interested in watching. Sounds like it might be one of those games that is better to watch than actually play.
