The revenue is 90% advertising. This would be a shift in that 90%, not new revenue I think. I don't really understand what you're saying, but that's my response.
thats's what we're (I am) saying ... they should move away from ads as their revenue source cause they've never been that succesful at it. the street also loves recurring rev via subscription. there was an analyst note about them hiring PMs to explore how it would be accomplished last year, but instead they tried fleets and other crap
He's not just one of the greatest men in the world anymore, now he's getting brown-nosing airtime for shitposting Lol
a couple of things: 1) true allyship is taking on the emotional burden of dealing with transphobic rhetoric. whammy clearly doesn’t know a goddamn thing about trans people but has very strong opinions on them (that are just laundered conservative scare tactics). thank you to everyone who spoke up for me. 2) the existence of trans people has NOTHING to do with sex. the conflation of trans existence and sex is just a transphobic tactic used to demonize us and delegitimize our existence. you can explain the concept of gender identity and transitioning without mentioning genitalia or intercourse. unfortunately, as a marginalized community, most people’s first exposure to trans people is pornography.
This is an oversimplification of constitutional rights. A lot of rights we hold near and dear today aren't in the Constitution. Nor were they granted by the legislature. Abortion and marriage rights come from the court system. Then to add to the complexity you have issues like abortion where both sides believe they're granting rights instead of taking rights.
There are 5th and 14th Amendment rights to abortion and marriage. Those rights come from the Constitution, not from the courts. But one court is a couple of weeks away from terminating some of those rights for women.
Un-cancel culture. Whenever a company does some fucked up bigoted shit, the WOKE MOB all follow their Twitter account (but no engagement if likes or retweets to prevent spread) to bankrupt them.
You still fail to understand the philosophical underpinnings of rights that date back to the nation’s founding. The courts did not say “we are granting new rights.” They said “humans always had these rights and it is improper for governments to deny them.”
Musk and Whammy are wrong on this point, but it's still a problem of the Democratic party that they think they're right in the first place. And no offense to 98% of the people who responded to Whammy with the same general point, but what y'all are doing isn't working.
What in the blue fuck are you talking about? What the Dems are doing "isn't working" because it's not left/radical enough. The Dems haven't been hijacked by extremists, they're the bullshit status quo while their opposition is going full-scorched earth.
The whole Musk supporting Obama thing is so laughable. He "supported" Obama bc he needed the fed to prevent Tesla from going bankrupt. The Obama administration loaned them half a billion dollars to keep the company afloat. Now he doesn't need fed money so his true colors are coming out.
umm the statement the the Democratic party, currently led by a 79 year old white dude and Obama's former VP, is somehow the extremist party
Well the 14th Amendment didn't exist at the nation's founding so the earliest it could date back to would be 1868. That's probably getting too deep into the weeds for you though. Have a nice night.
Again, the 14th amendment didn’t grant rights to the individual. The individual already had those rights. It forbade governments from denying those rights. It also redefined citizenship to prevent exclusion from that group. This is all very easy to understand with a basic grasp of liberalism and the founding of America. You were either a very poor student or your teachers failed you.
Maybe, just maybe, you’re wrong on this when the party is polling poor as fuck in the midterms and you have plenty of people thinking the dems have moved left. Perception is reality and what not. Scream until you’re blue in the face. I’m telling you there’s plainly a messaging problem.
lmao bro, they're polling poor as fuck because they've done absolutely nothing. The exact opposite of being too extreme. And they do have messaging problems. But likely not for the reasons you think.
Perception isn't reality. Perception is perception and dumb people being fed their perception by the right wing outlets mean the progressives should fight that perception rather than accepting it as a reality they need to change. Dems allowing perception to be reality is a big part of the problem.
This is probably the extremism that Whammy was talking about. You guys are right that the Liberal extremists haven't really gotten much passed legislation wise. Probably because you're too busy trying to tell everyone how smart you are on the internet instead of having a substantive conversation.
I don’t know how to be any clearer on this. You’re wrong about where Americans feel their rights come from. And it’s an important fact for understanding American laws and politics. Just reread the Declaration of Independence. It’s America’s mission statement and foundational philosophy for the nation.
Like I get that you think the solution is “do a bunch more progressive stuff and message that.” At what point do the polls change your mind? I wouldn’t “except” much of anything. I’m saying there’s plainly a messaging problem. You’re saying the perception (ie the message) shouldn’t be reality. Is this not the same thing?
Maybe equating the guys who have voted democrat for 4+ presidential elections cycles to the racist dipshit Trump supporters is not the move.
Agree there is a messaging problem, but maybe pushing back on the wording. I think part of the problem is accepting that perception is reality. Dems have been fighting against what Republicans claim is reality instead of calling it bullshit. They need to call it bullshit and push reality.
Agreed. They’re bitches if we’re being honest. For fear of idk what exactly. They’ve brought a knife to a gun fight for a longgggg time.
For sure, but it's a product of their base vs the GOP. Liberal-minded folks question things, while conservatives believe everything they're told without question.
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/oct/08/elon-musk-diver-vernon-unsworth-pedo-idiot I forgot he doubled down on this shit
Not nearly as bad as your paper thin understanding of the Constitution despite your self-proclaimed conclusion about being consistently right. You’re mad because you don’t know shit about shit and you’re out of your depth. But don’t let a small thing like the Dunning-Kruger effect get in the way of your continuing to form strong opinions.
To add to the post above, your “gotcha” moment in bringing up the 14th Amendment to make what you believed to be a profound point got shoved up your ass using your same idiotic logic, and yet you don’t possess the self awareness to understand the point.
