Work's policy is you can't return to the site until you test negative with 5 days between test regardless of vaccination status. Tested positive again today, so looks like I'll be home next week too.
Thought you were making a joke a first, but I did have a weird sense of taste too but only for a couple of days. That honestly would have been the worst thing if this was like the earlier strains and your taste was affected for a month or more.
Basically the same in terms of how I feel. Woke up with a low grade fever but went away with some Advil. Sinuses very congested. The top two side effects of Paxlovid I have
Man this shit has to really be flying under the radar. Had a coworker test positive and was completely asymptomatic, he was boosted and even had a breakthrough during Delta. We're supposed to meet with a bunch of our coworkers who live in Canada in Toronto and because the US requires a negative test upon reentry he wanted to test himself before we leave tomorrow. Testing myself now and I'm negative, might test again tomorrow morning.
did? still is. like a horrible sinus infection right now and i wake up with fever every morning. chest congestion is just starting.
My son's (3 y/o) preschool classroom has been closed since Thursday because a kiddo popped positive. Son slowly developed cold/flu symptoms over the weekend. We've tested him 3 times ourselves and they're all negative (fri/sat/sun). Wife and I tested ourselves this morning (I have very light cold symptoms, she feels fine) both negative. He's been 100+ fever for 24 hrs, says he feels "so cold", now this morning his mouth "tastes yucky". Gotta be covid but it sure as hell ain't easy to get a positive test here.
its been a mystery for sure. it could very well be something else. or it could be covid. access to differential testing still sucks.
We haven't. I dunno probably should but after testing 3 days in a row he's really not liking the "tickle test" anymore and the normal bribing payoff has lost its luster. We're already quarantined in the house I think we're just going to ride it out assuming he gets better over the next few days.
I have the mildest of cold symptoms (some congestion, faint sore throat), wife is fine, 1 y/o runny nose.
Does anyone know of someone who was previously boosted prior to an omicron infection who has since been reinfected? (Ba.2 or otherwise...) It seems like that isn't happening much if at all...
I feel like I've seen data saying that you're still very protected against the newer sub-variants or whatever, but I can't find any numbers right now.
Covid currently fucking my family up. Both my parents, brother in law, 5 week old nephew all have it now
By plane. All new variants have been caught too late though and testing & masks have proven ineffective at stopping them. Only mandatory quarantine has proven effective, which is a separate point.
That dude is a chud. He is literally responding to Zerohedge 10 tweets down. It shouldn’t be hard to support your argument from a person who isn’t insufferable
I don’t review who and what everyone engages on in social media. The tweet is sourced below from official stats which is all I really cared about.
Flightaware says there were about 1070 flight cancellations this past week. Idk if that's normal or not
Keep in mind that 0% flights canceled does not mean 0 flights were canceled. United had 12 flights canceled and 252 delayed, but that's 0% of United's flights canceled.
You underestimate peoples insecurities that actually care about covid...but yeah it's circulating pretty heavily right now
