Been through two wives, five dogs, lived in 5 cities since joining this here site (will be 41 in August).
Y'all be careful with those Q-tips. I know a guy who made himself deaf on one ear by "cleaning" too deep when he was younger.
I'm going to need some q-tip alternatives because I'm sure as shit not just letting the wax build up in there.
drainage, pain like you described, ringing in my ear over time, and then a bit of vertigo a few months
I almost had my ear drum burst one time from a bad ear infection. I have never been in so much pain before in my life up until that point. It has only been topped once since.
I thought I had ruptured my ear drum with a qtip a couple years ago. Turns out I had an infection that destroyed part of my cochlear nerve so now I have non stop tinnitus, and partial hearing loss.
As a board certified Otolaryngologist, I feel VERY confident saying it's doubtful your ear drum will fully heal at your advanced age.
I like the thing I've seen ads for on IG that looks like a motorized sheet rock anchor thing. Yes plz drill my ear baby
If yall want some good alternatives to using q-tips, check out the subreddit /r/sounding They offer some good advice on that kinda stuff.
Hydrogen peroxide drops, let sit in ear for 30 minutes, irrigate with warm water from a chemistry squirt bottle
Hey me too, 5/1/86 at 9:36pm so you probably got me beat. Anyway, I found this thread as I thought about starting a new one for old man problems but this place looks like it will work... I'm FOR SURE getting age induced lactose intolerance. Is there a daily pill I can take so I don't have to remember to carry them with me and have to take them before eating any dairy?
Must have slept “funny” last night. Neck is really hurting and it’s tough to turn my head to my left.
Man I hate this shit. Having to turn your entire upper body to look to the left or the right and looking like a clown while doing it
I woke up in the middle of the night and felt it coming on, so I tried adjusting my pillows to prevent it from being bad in the morning. Didn’t work.
I've felt the nerve pinch before while I was awake from some weird movement I've done. It doesn't really hurt that much at the time but dread sinks in as I think "fuck this is going to suck for the next 24-48 hours"
