And what's up with Alaska Airlines? 54 flights canceled today - 7% of their flights. Interesting not including them in the tweet. Is there weather that's affecting them at a unique point of service, The Banks?
Would really love if this week long febrile illness plaguing my whole family were covid but I guess we still have that to look forward to.
Please don't ask for a source because I'll have to click something but Ba1 confered pretty decent protection vs ba2 but ba2.1.whatever and ba4-5 seem to be antigenically different enough that there will be a lot of reinfections. Someone asked about severity, seems all we have is in vitro evidence which suggests ba4-5 is potentially more pathogenic but too soon to know clinically. Thanfully, hospitalizations in SA have only modestly increased over the past several weeks fwiw
MIL just tested positive again, her natural path is doing a great job it seems…right as our son has an ear infection and im out of town for work and wife needs help with him tomorrow for work. SIL lives with MIL and is vaxed/boosted and never tested positive last time MIL got it so here’s hoping the same this time.
I just need the bots / foreign influence campaigns to be eliminated so I can know if this shit is real or not
Dad just came down with fever/aches/ can't smell shit. Pretty sure he's really only been around me and my kids I realize I, too, cannot smell or taste tonight. Home test still negative. Fuck this it's covid.
Yeah certainly seems like it. Other viruses can impact smell but both of you? Probably COVID. Why rapids aren’t working in some but do in others I can’t explain, but I’m seeing it myself at home now. I light it up like a Christmas tree but my family doesn’t.
we've had a good many hospital cases where really sick patients will continue to test negative on PCR, despite having exposure, hallmark symptoms, elevated D-dimers, imaging compatible with covid pneumonia, etc. It's a strange phenomenon
Maybe double up on swabbing? https://globalnews.ca/news/8609381/covid-rapid-test-reliability-oral-nasal-swab/
we constantly get chuds posted but the individual who posts them never know they just posted a chud. It’s amazing how it always happens.
"I can't vet everything on the internet" as they grab whatever they think supports their angle that always ends up being posted by James O'Keefe
It's weird reading this thread. I used two types of rapid tests and they damn near instantly came back positive.
When we had covid… My younger unvaxxed son tested positive on a pcr on day 1 of symptoms My wife tested positive on a rapid test after 2-3 days of symptoms I finally tested positive on a rapid test after 5-6 days of exposure and 2-3 days of symptoms My older son never tested positive on multiple pcr and rapid tests It was hard as fuck to get a clear understanding of what was going on and very frustrating to have to search out the known answer. I would assume most people just give up after a negative test or two and go on with their lives.
Wife and kids, who are all sick, just had their PCR come back negative from yesterday. I may just have a double infection. Yay.
Covid has ripped thru my preschooler’s class over the last week or so. 7 of 22 testing positive. So far little guy has stayed symptom free with frequent negative rapid tests.
I never tested positive on a Rapid - I only tested positive on a PCR about 6 days from when my daughter and wife tested positive on rapids.
One week in, worst day yet. The virus taught ass how to piss. A lot. Cold as hell no matter what. Breathing= totally fine. Minimal cough. It's just everything else. Gonna go get some iv fluids today if my butt doesn't start appreciating this crystal light more
Stupid question. If I have just had Covid and my dad just turned positive, is there any reason I would need to stay away from him before his isolation period is up?
Did you give it to him? If so, probably not. If not, I can give you reasons to stay away, but they aren’t high probability ones.
No, we haven't seen them for several weeks when the first kid got sick. So it sounds like the main issue would be if we have different strains?
That’s right. There is some small chance that’s the case and a small chance you’ll catch a new strain, but your outcome very likely won’t be severe. But you may wish to avoid the potential life disruption just in case. Low risk, though.
this guy is trying to teach extremist psychopaths how to win over time. basically what they did to the republican party or police or pretty much every institution they destroyed. just fucking gross.
100 fever, cold chills, sore throat, massive sinus leakage. 2 separate negative antigen tests at home today. This is great.
I’m sick, cough, scratchy throat congestion. I’ve tested negative for Covid twice though. Traveling sucks and people suck
This is exactly what I had but positive antigen test. Also similar to to what my wife has, negative antigen test. Would suggest you both get PCR tests just to have confidence. Whatever this other virus is, it’s ripping through the country very fast. I possibly had both at the same time.
