ABSOLUTELY yes, and I would guess DL would be better for young kids but that's a question for afb

18 months is going to be a sweet spot of comprehension of all the magic around him but not ready to do most of the rides.

I don’t have kids so that’s hard for me to answer but I’d imagine Disneyland has more rides for a kid that young. DCA is probably only the pier stuff and little mermaid.

I took a 6 month old to Disneyland and she got on a ton of shit. If there isn't a minimum height requirement on the ride, which is most of the rides in Disneyland, less so in DCA, they'll let you take a baby on.

Back in 2020 we had it break down twice on us, once while we were in line and once while we were on it. This year we had no problems with it.

We did Genie +/LL or whatever it's called, and paid extra for RoR, Web Slingers, and Radiator Springs. Felt like it was worth it with all the time we saved not standing in line.

The Disneyland hotel doesn’t have shit on the Polynesian/GF/Saratoga/Contemporary

Glad I didn’t pay for this

Have not been to WDW, but are you not comparing the mid level hotel to 4 deluxe resorts

Also not saying it’s not nice. Way better than a regular hotel don’t get me wrong. Just not worth the price imo

Is the Disneyland hotel pool setup not any good? It looks like the best pool online out of the three. I haven’t been to any of them before and was hoping to take the kids and wife for a few days out in October for fall break.

The pool is the best thing about it

everything else is pretty mediocre for a Disney resort imo

Going down to WDW with a new lady friend. Doing dinner at Raglan Road on a Tuesday night, MK on Wednesday, Epcot on Thursday, then home on Friday. It's her first time since she was around 10 (21 yrs ago). Excited to learn abt Genie and Genie+ and show her the fun.

Nice, we got a random Tuesday but not sure if we can go due to work and such. What sucks is we will be there the weekend before.

I got the email but didn’t see it for a half hour because I was working. Then had to wait in a queue (just left my phone on) for about 40 minutes. There were only two days available by that time.

realistically? no. WDW will likely actually get a financial benefit from all of this.

However, Chapek is going to keep raising prices until the only people who can afford to go more than once every few years are the upper class.

Any tips on Disney World for a first timer? Wife and I will be taking our 2 year old son in June. We both have never been as our families couldn't afford it growing up and as adults we much rather go to a national park than an amusement park. But my son is absolutely obsessed with Mickey so we'll be going in June. Wife is pregnant with our second so really don't care about rides for ourselves just want to get as much enjoyment out of it for my son as possible.

2 year old and pregnant wife. Oof. Plan LOTS of downtime. It’s going to be hotter than Satan’s asshole. Bring water bottles, bring a misting fan.

as for the kid. Magic kingdom fantasy land is the spot for young kids. Read the guide in the OP

I did a three day stretch at WDW In June with an 8 month pregnant wife and 2.5 year old. Just be patient. With no pressure for the big rides- do Peter Pan and jungle cruise early and then chill out at the pool in the afternoon when it gets hot.

Your two year old will love Mickey’s philharmagic and it’s a great air conditioned break for you and your pregnant wife. Same goes for dumbos playground inside the tent as you wait for the ride.

Yeah, save yourself some money by not going to the parks. Just stay at a property, do a character meet and greet (I'm assuming the hotels still have Mickeys, Goofys, etc. show up?), and hang by the pool.

But really, just do what MrOutlaw said.

Probably should have also stated that this will only be for a day at Magic Kingdom, followed by a week down on Marco Island to relax. I know it will be miserable that day but my son won't care and we'll have plenty of time to recuperate.

Thanks, these are the tips I was looking for.

JFC, it's $500+ for a 5-day pass, one park per day, in May. And that's including literally nothing else like food, transportation, lodging, souvenirs, etc.

One day? Spend 80% of your time in fantasy land and tomorrow land.

    people mover
    Monsters inc laugh floor
    Character meet and greets
    every ride in fantasy land.

Then head over to adventure land for pirates and jungle cruise.

but really. We aren’t overstating the heat. Be very prepared in order to keep your wife hydrated.
