Squats went awful today but pulled a beltless 445+60 bands RDL double later. Finally moving real weight again.
Do not stay immobile too long. Walk, air squats, very light dumbbell RDLs, and hip thrusts for high reps. Get blood flow to the back consistently
This kabuki deadlift bar seems kinda whack, untested guys all over hitting huge PRs IPF does stiff bar right and now you’re making it easier again for untested. Why do you have to make it easier
it seems similar to geared lifting, people want to see huge numbers move. strongman has gotten a lot attention for sideshow deadlifts. i see what you mean for competition though.
Partial deadlifts aren’t trying to say they’re WR deadlifts though. Strongman does have suits/straps but nobody views strongman and powerlifting in same category There’s advancements in every sport but this just seems a bit too much. Kinda like when swimmers had those full body textile suits circa 2010-2011 and every WR was getting shattered
Is this that new bar that flexes a ridiculous amount when they pull the slack out? Might as well have the barbell starting on six inch blocks
the new bells of steel squat rack/weight stack looks like a good idea. can we link reels? i dont know how. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CdWRNpYg2ds/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Been having some anterior patellar pain so have been doing light load for volume. It’s seemed to stop flaring up as much but just seeing if anyone has any other recommendations.
Could be aggravated from over use (do you also run or cycle?) and alternating ice and heat can help along with backing off like you are doing. Could also be something like hip or ankle mobility, tight hamstrings etc. Never not a bad idea to do some mobility tests and check for shifts or deficits in your movements.
Lol. The right side of my neck locked up in the shower this weekend when I was washing it and I yelled like a little girl.
hit a squat pr today, 390x1 and then 390x4 on my max out. 390 moved easier than my 315 warm up. also first time i’ve squatted 2x bw.
i actually stopped taking creatine a month ago. i have also been cutting, so i'm having to relearn the practice of timing carbs.
its a good goddamned thing my cut is going well, otherwise i’d be digging through the dumpster at gnc for busted tubs again.
In contract for a house. Finally. It's been an absolute shit show with this market. Going for a quick close. Single car garage 10'3 x 22'4 Basement is huge. Half finished other is sealed but likely slated for the kids. But ceiling would limit pressing. Not the biggest issue.
Got a spud pulley. Are those Prime lat attachments worth the scratch? I definitely need more than the strap handles that came with it, just not sure if it's worth going all in, as I'm limited in the movements I can do based on the setup.
I like the kaz handles(have another I never use)but only can really use them for landmine rows. Definitely worth it if you can use them a lot. Would be nice to have a stack but don’t have room or 3 grand to spend on 1
Happened in early March but Klokov got popped for a test from like a decade ago I believe in nothing anymore if Klokov wasn’t clean
cant buy anything till we close. Im mostly going to lift alone. I want a Monolift system or something similar. Is it good for Benching?
So you think thats the better way to go vs any other competitor? I have my Yoke still and plan on keeping it but if i mount the Monolifts id have to buy 2 sets for squatting and benching.
I bought the Yoke Infinity before the dumb Monster movement became a thing. 99% of Rogue customers will never need Monster but now its practically standard.
Purchase with the infinity retro kit https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-adjustable-monolift-monster-lite
Did an EMOM(6 of each) of 405 DL with 80 in bands right into 355 RDL with same band, then after a little rest 295 zercher squats. I really like DL singles and progressing, only shitty part was those lockouts. Bands throw me all over the place.
