As an aside, fun fact about Chevy Chase (the neighborhood) where those judges live. The Chevy Chase Land Company was started by a virulent white supremacist and brutal racist (Nebraska Senator Francis G. Newlands), and many of the old housing deeds / housing covenants specifically exclude "a Negro or one of the African race" and "any persons of the Semitic race." It's still sort of a "sundown town."
