For a 6 man (that I am not a fan of) that was a really good main event. WWE better get as much out of Reigns as they can, he is not long for this world.
I’m stunned the acting bug hasn’t gotten him. Luckily they’re build for when he inevitably lea… You know what, I’m just gonna stop
Roman Reigns has signed a new deal with WWE, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. The deal will see him work fewer dates for the company going forward. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Reigns got fans talking after cutting a promo at Saturday’s live event when he teased that his WWE career was coming to an end as he shifts towards the next phase in his life. He said he wasn’t sure if he would be coming back to Trenton, NJ. His comments were due to his new deal that will see him work fewer live events and not because he plans to go to Hollywood imminently.
I don't see Roman having the charisma or personality of the Rock or Cena to transition into movie star but I could be wrong.
I am sure all those guys would take a major Hollywood role tomorrow unless they are total marks. That said, it seemed like more of a heel promo about never coming back to this shit town then he’s actually leaving next week or something. it seems like they are setting up Drew to win at the UK stadium show.
He signed a contract extension. Its going to take him off b-loop events. He's basically doing all TV, PPVs and a few major house shows (MSG) Edit: I should've refreshed my browser. Thanks UncleJesse
Mania and Backlash were both fantastic events. WWE keeping these B events to 6 matches and 3 hours is a sweet spot. RAW has been solid but Smackdown is just bad, especially without Roman. WWE still can't get both shows humming at the same time. It's been a problem for years and years.
Of all the Black and Gold NXT guys, who would have thought Corbin would have had this long of a shelf life, especially compared to others who hadn't already made a name for themselves in NJPW, ROH, Impact, etc.
Watching the Cody Rollins match from last night. Noticeable improvement in the commentary from last time they wrestled on a PPV because they didn't say Seth Freaking Rollins every single time they said his name. Though they still are spamming it.
And two of them just blew it all by basically saying Cody Rhodes hadn't been competing for six years by saying he had ring rust
It was literally correct seconds after the comment was made. WWE has a great event and the shills for AEW reach for crowd reactions in a promo video and commentary to complain about.
Cody and Austin Theory are billed as the same weight and from the same city. I don't think I've ever heard that in wrestling before.
Kota Ibushi has been Tweeting about exposing harassment from NJPW officials, as well as being exploited by NJPW. He released text messages that have been translated into English and it sounds like he’s telling them to come clean and fix whatever issues are ongoing or fire him because he won’t quit exposing them.
So apparently after months of Lacey Evans vignettes designed to garner sympathy by sharing her real life backstory, she is being brought back as a heel. What?
Is she a heel on the house shows? because she's made one appearance on TV and she was being a baby face
Just going off of a rumor post on cagesideseats https://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2022/5/10/23065407/lacey-evans-heel-wwe-raw
That seems pretty wild. I've always been so fascinated with things like this. What causes you to promote 6 weeks of deeply personal baby face vignettes to change plans at the end and turn heel. I know WWE was laying babyface cheers in her videos so the clearly wanted that reaction and maybe she wasn't getting it? So they said fuck it... And if she was turning heel why the move to RAW when Ronda needs a heel. Unless were going to get a mini program with Xi Lee or Shotzi. But shit they barely get TV time. Would love Shayna to get a feud with Ronda but they have her tied up in that stupid tag shit.
not sure what they're doing with Alexa either. she was just like hey I'm back. and I look like my old self again, but I'm also still carrying this doll.

holy shit This is going to feel like a classic Attitude Era segment in all the best ways. Nese and Smart Mark are going to double team, Hook is going to make the save, the crowd is going to go bananas.
