it was amazing. When I turned it on the first five shots I saw were missed approaches. And Day going 9 over and still being top 15
So I converted one of my actual golfer buddies into trues, he’s a lux knit guy(they just dropped their prices on this btw also on tgw.com now). I just bought a new pair of OG feels and sent him a photo of the purchase. Fucker bought the same pair.
I’ve got a pair of the Originals and Eco Knits. Seems like the lux knits have mixed reviews on comfort, so I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
Has anyone here done a putter fitting? My putting has been shitty in recent years mostly due to not playing enough. I have used a blade putter my whole life though and I also wonder if I am not using the best style for a) my putting stroke and b) in general for someone that doesn't play a lot. I have never been fitted for any club in my life, I generally have had luck off the shelf, but I am wondering if with the putter it would make the biggest impact in my game.
I switched from a blade to mallet without a fitting and my putting has improved a ton. I'm looking at going to get fit for a putter next week actually. My golf spy testing shows one of the crazy looking PXG mallets to be the best on the market. Going to check it out.
I have. They validated I was using the right type of putter but did modify the lie angle a little bit. It helped.
Can someone please explain to me the Saudi/PGA feud like I’m 5? And fill me in on why all of the players seem constantly upset with the tour? All I read is bitching but no substance as to what their actual problem is with the tour
Money is the short answer pga v saudi is about pulling marquis players away from pga events. They are a competing enterprise. It’s not a complete competition but if a top player normally plays let’s say 20-25 events but now switches 8 of those to a competing tournament that’s problematic for the pga and some of their smaller events the outspoken players complaints revolve around money share of total money and player control. Pretty standard league v player complaints. Not sure how real it is here v other sports. There’s also an additional element of selfishness in the higher end players because they feel they deserve more money than the mid-bottom tier players, which is probably accurate but not healthy others can correct me though if I’m missing something. I might be
Also, Phil specifically was pissed about digital rights. When he played in The Match, he had to pay a bunch to obtain rights to his highlights.
“he” didn’t have to pay, the network picked that up. But I take his complaints with huge grains of salt
he saw how much those NBA NFT’s were going for and threw a tantrum because he’s seemingly broke and desperate for ways to cash in
I did a fitting on the Sam lab. Few years ago and switched from a blade to a mallet. Definitely helped my putting. Mallets are so easy to keep square. I’ve got a mat and putt about 25 balls a few times a week doing a gate drill for the ball and putter using my blade. When I use the mallet on the course my stroke and start line are usually on the money. I just wish I could read greens better.
See if you can find an Aimpoint Express teacher in your area. It's a pretty simple system to learn and has helped me tremendously with having confidence in my reads. It's not perfect, but it gives you another point of reference when reading greens.
I thought that would be the case, too, but it honestly is a really simple, quick process if you want it to be. I'm not a good enough golfer to spend THAT much time reading my putts, so I've enjoyed how simple and quick this sytem is when you commit to it and trust the read.
Anyone need or know of anyone who needs tickets to PGA championship in Tulsa? I bought 3 but I have a wedding I have to attend Saturday night.
Got to see Tom Watson and the Claret Jug at the Old Course today. Played it this afternoon. Sunshine, but blowing 30-35mph. Played well and ended with par and par on 17/18.
