I don’t know what this means. Also I couldn’t even last 3 songs on AF. I still enjoy their older catalog.
I posted on here a few weeks ago that I was looking for this album and some fine posters helped me look for it I just found it and paid much monies for it
They have, and always will, put on an amazing show. Think I've seen them in the neighborhood of 8 times over the years. I had seen them twice on the Everything Now tour in 2017 (one festival, one arena) and saw they were coming through LA again in September 2018. I hemmed and hawed a bit thinking I had seen them enough and didn't really like the new stuff, but they were playing at a venue about ~40% of the size of the Arena they played in last time they played LA so I said, whatever, I'll go and maybe see them for one final time (assuming their next album wouldn't get much better). They came out in tuxedos and fake snow started forming on the stage and I thought it was really strange and perked up a bit. They went right into Tunnels ... the thought crossed my mind but I wouldn't believe it. Then they played Laika and I really thought it was happening. Then Une Annee Sans Lumiere and it was it - they were playing Funeral front to back unannounced, Played the album then they had a set break and came out for a ~12-15 song mini set. To see maybe the formative indie rock album of shaping my life live front-to-back essentially unannounced really re-affirmed my "always go to the show, you won't regret it" policy.
don't know what constitutes a rare album but before they released the box set last year either one of Volta's first two albums would run between $200-400, shit was annoying
black midi's drummer is like the best of both worlds between Jon Theodore and Thomas Pridgen, I'm officially making him my guy also that song was rad

There's a new Pkew Pkew Pkew album Friday. On the punkier side, similar sound to Spanish Love Songs and bands like that.

I was thinking of Night Beds when you posted this and thought "hmm maybe that'll be decent." I got way happier when I listened and realized I had the wrong band in my head though. Pennied Days is one of my favorite albums.
saw this on apple music the other day and got fucking pumped because I thought they snuck a release but it was some shit metal band. “fallacy actually” has me so incredibly excited for the new album
