I was just coming to post something about this. I have no idea who the recruit is and I think the guy who dropped that information is dialed into Florida in particular. to sum it up for those who haven’t seen it…It was reported that ND will be getting a commitment from a kid in June. Someone ask D3 if it would be someone who surprises the fan base and he said yea.
Either the massive bag with Tennessee or going to the best WR room in the country in OSU, but probably not happening either way
Yep. Dollars previously donated to universities to spend on infrastructure are now going to player personnel instead. That’s the new norm. And quite frankly, I think we should be fine with that. For as much shit as our facilities have gotten, Liverpool FC came to campus two years ago and were quoted as saying they had never seen facilities anywhere near as nice in Europe. The culture there is to spend money on players, whereas college football has created a culture of absurd expenditure on facilities. Just means some budget re-allocation is required in college football. No more lazy rivers.
June is shaping up to be a big month for recruiting. My goodness, what a difference a coach who emphasizes recruiting makes.
that will be visit #3 for M'Pemba (and Jaiden Ausberry who's visiting 6/10)...I want both of these guys if we land M'Pemba, I can't wrap my mind around him and Keeley rushing the passer together
In baseball I feel like it's the opposite. Brewers legit think they can create pitchers in a lab instead of paying to acquire them. So they built a very fancy lab
chuckling at the idea of a beat writer group text where they intentionally excluded coach d and talk shit about him all the time.
Sheesh I don’t know about all that. That’s a lot of Flores disrespect. I love Greathouse, I think he’s going to be a monster in college.
Basing this on who I most want in the class 1) Tyler Williams...he's a bad bad man 2) Braylon James, ridiculous upside 3) Greathouse, the most ready to go and that's important for 2023 4) Gallagher (I can't believe I have him 4th because I love his game) 5) Rico, again, he's pretty ready to go for 2023 but not as good as Greathouse 6) Hanafin and I'd have no problem w/ him if he wanted to join the class because he's very good
after multiple viewings of Greathouse torching the Guyer secondary, i have Greathouse as a top 50 talent in this class...he's really really good everything I do is viewed from a college lens, don't care where they are drafted, it's what can they do for ND
Tyler Williams #1 for sure. Go get that kid If they can get him to visit I think they’ll have a chance. He’s a high academic kid
Chad Bowden interview from ISD has been incredible...best quote in the article “Notre Dame's going to win a national championship under Coach Freeman,” he says. “I have no doubts about it and we're going to have the number one recruiting class in the country whether they rank it number one or they don't.” https://irishsportsdaily.com/s/17860/chad-bowden-in-focus-recruiting-championships
Tyler Williams, Tate, and James are top 50 type talents for sure. Williams is gonna finish as a 5 star not sold on Greatehouse yet as that type of player but I think he’s very good.
I know nothing about Williams but I now hope nd gets him i love greathouse, d3 talked about him in the slot and it’s such a fun thing to think about. He is big and runs great routes, he could block and also burn some people in that spot. He is a mismatch against a lb in coverage and could block a nickel all day long. Seems like a great fit for this offense and also a good fit with the wrs nd already has
Ej holland everyone. *** I was actually surprised at how open Bowen was about Michigan considering the awkward situation I encountered during my stop at Guyer. Notre Dame defensive backs coach Chris O'Leary was there to see Bowen and was continually asking Bowen about his girlfriend situation during the beginning of our interview. It was definitely weird. O'Leary actually served as a GA under Minter when he was the DC at Georgia State, which I found amusing. Anyway, Notre Dame is doing what it can to keep him in its own way, but it's pretty clear Bowen is keeping his options open. Along with Michigan, Bowen wants to take a couple of other out-of-region visits this summer. And as mentioned, Oklahoma and Texas A&M remain threats.
Yes the guy with the established relationship with the kid is the weird one, and I, the guy reporting on the relationship, am totally normal and cool.
I love when recruiting analysts attempt to create villains out of schools in the recruiting process. If a kid goes to my rival, it’s because he was manipulated by that staff. If he goes to my school, it’s because he truly loves it. Laughably transparent.
He would have come back and gotten his degree, Kelly would have given it some pub at a PC or something, but I doubt they would have used him like the new guys have.
