reminds me of when I driving home as a kid at 16, there was a car in the ditch with the lights off. I didn’t see anyone in there driving slow and the car wasn’t messed up at all. So I just drove past but then something told me to turn around. When I got back there was a elderly woman laying in the ditch unable to get up. She said she had been there about an hour and no one stopped. Ended up calling my dad and towing her out and driving her back home. It was winter time, late at night, in a remote area (in Georgia) and cellphones were fairly new especially for the elderly. So she could have been there all night if I didn’t stop. She ended up bringing me a bunch of apples to my work the next week.
it’s the thought that counts. Pretty sure she was on a fixed income. Her son came by and gave me a gift card. Turns out he was a pharmacist and I was working in a pharmacy at the time too.
A bunch of apples is high praise from an older person, and I mean that in a sincere way. Great story.
i think the moral of Pharm story is to negotiate the terms prior to rendering aid to the elderly. people are cheap and they’ll take advantage of you if you let them
I’m in the office today. Anytime someone makes hazlenut coffee, it gives me an instant headache. The aroma just hits me like a brick.
He got popular by stealing other people’s jokes and content and posting it to his personal page without giving credit
Apparently one of my female coworkers has been leaving unflushed turds with no tp present in our office bathroom. The other women have been trying to get to the bottom of who is doing this for a few months. They caught the culprit because she left her work phone behind. Awkward.
We fired a guy who wouldn’t use the two urinals and kept pissing on the toilet seats without lifting lifting them before pissing. The whole floor was trying to find him out, so he had to know his time as an anonymous pisser was limited, but whatever weird compulsion drove him forward got him fired.
Also, I was on call for jury duty all week and just called in and I don't have to report tomorrow and done. On another note, I will be posting in the 2023 Random Thoughts Thread about how much it sucks serving on jury duty.
you joke but discrimination is ugly and someone suffering from uromycitisis has gone through enough. Every time I think this board has grown for the better ignorance and hate rear their ugly heads.
