So I was looking at Verizon/Fios. It says home internet powered by 5G? Does that mean its powered by the tower down the road? Will it offer me strength power to half two people work from home on it? And then the streaming tv and what not in the evening?
Yes. I wanted to get it but our cell reception is awful right now in a relatively new neighborhood. I brought this up and the sales guy said it wasn't necessarily an indicator of being able to get reception for the internet. I found that dubious but tried anyway. Of course it did not work. So don't bother unless you have very strong cell reception.
The weird thing about this scenario is that they had been trying to figure out who was doing it amongst themselves the whole time, ie the pooper was aware that people noticed her behavior. But she kept doing it for some reason.
Last night I was walking Groot and I saw one of those huge outside roaches. I thought to myself would it be fucked up to kill it. They are gross but honestly it’s outside and I think they stay outside so who am I to take a living creatures life for no reason. I stepped by it and it tried to get away so obviously it wanted to live. Is it wrong to kill it?
I had an old busted up 2004 Honda CRV that had it's catalytic converter stolen. I was gonna just junk it cuz it was just a spare 3rd car. My Sister and her Husband buy and sell stuff 24/7. They are Joe Dirt in the dungeon reading Auto Trader. They go find me a cheap battery and cheap place to patch up the pipe to quite down the missing cat convertor. They post it on facebook marketplace and meet with all the potential buyers. It sells for $2700. I was gonna junk it for around $350, and my investment in fixing it up to sell was only $250. They made $2100 profit for me. I'm trying to give them $500 of the profit and they are refusing anything other than at the most a $100 gift card. I let this thing sit on my car insurance for 8 months at $50/month so they saved me there too. They are getting ready to go on vacation with their kids and grandkids and I begged them to just do something huge with it like rent an awesome boat or something. I'm thinking of reaching out to my niece to see if she will tell me how to force them to use the money. They love to buy an sell/resell so it was second nature for them, but I hate selling crap and they did me a huge favor without me asking. Any suggestions on how to handle this? They aren't the type to treat themselves, so i'm looking for an offer they can't refuse for $500.
1. Sneak a visa gift card in her purse or whatever 2. Have a dinner or two delivered to them on their vacation
Time is such a weird concept. The fall of the Berlin Wall to 9/11 seems like an impossibly long period to conceptualize. Yet looking 12 years back from now feels like nothing, relatively.
To expound on this, I guess we’ll look back now on the war in Ukraine as an inflection point of similar circumstance. It’s all relative to how you consume it I guess. Human “consumption” of time is just weird.
1989 and 2001 are pretty different from each other—no internet, no cell phones, 1989 Americans about 24 cable channels.
One of my new neighbors apparently has a pet Falcon - there is no way in hell this is legal. They wouldn't approve me getting a wallaby for like 2 years but a predatory bird is fine. This is nonsense.
You don’t know the right people. I’ve been importing and exporting exotics animals for the past 20 years and it’s all about who you know.
I am assuming that your howler monkeys subsist on a steady diet of crinkle cut fries and Milos sauces.
Where I grew up there were several people that had falcons on the swamp and they're dope, was jealous I didn't have one. I'm not in the big apt complex anymore - moved into prime NIMBY last fall.
Day drinking on a Saturday when you have zero weekend obligations is one of life's great pleasures. I think I'm getting old.
