Mother fucker out here on the range in a nazi tee shirt can barley move the ball 15 yards. Master race indeed.
I’m sad because I loved it so much when I bought it (sm8). Still like the look it’s just getting faded fast
Jordan always tends to overreact to the shots that don't go his way but that ball flight into 18 had to look like it was painting the stick from his perspective.
Welp, pulled a similar round yesterday, which isn’t uncommon, but it hurt more than usual due to the short game work I’ve put in recently. Literally missed on zero drives. Bombed it all fucking day. 12 GIR and the misses were mostly not bad. First hot day this year, and the ball was flying further than expected, which got me a few times, and two of those fucked me real hard including a triple and double where the ball flew directly over the flag and green. Chipping was improved. Proximity was not an issue. Made nothing. 40 putts. 81. Think I need to keep Rotella’s putting out of your mind on loop during the day, watch Happy Gilmore in the evenings, buy whatever app shows the green maps, and go see Pelz assuming he’s still teaching. I will say the heat felt great. Gorgeous day, and I’ve started walking again. Makes everything so much more enjoyable overall. But fuck. 2nd round in the past few weeks where I can seriously taste low-mid 70s and completely fuck it up
Doing a putter fitting this afternoon. Pretty sure I need a mallet and I have the Scotty Phantom x, Bettinardi Onovai and the new Odyssey 11 in mind. We'll see.
We all refreshing GolfStat like mad this week? Seems weird to see a team (Ohio St) hosting a regional on their home course and still playing so much worse than the rest of the field. Generally that's a huge advantage in college golf Looking forward to being in Scottsdale each of the next two weekends. Go Dons and Dores
I hope it works for you. I forgot to mention my experience when getting putter fit but oh well. On a side note I’m always a two wings in the back type of putter head fan, and I think the 5 is the ugliest putter in production.
Pumped they’re that early, I might actually have a chance at seeing them then because I’m planning to be there by 7:30 before it gets too crowded
Will be a fantastic opportunity to follow any other group too since 2/3rds of the fans there are going to be following one group.
Yep, going to try to catch them for a few holes then bounce and follow groups around the whole course. There are some great viewing spots where you can see them play through then they come right back to you a couple holes later
Looking at the coverage for this week...looks like I'm going to have to subscribe to ESPN+ for a month. https://www.pgachampionship.com/how-to-watch
Thank you PGA for the groupings this year. In addition to Cat, Rory, Spieth... DJ/JT/Cantlay Rahm/Scheffler/Morikawa
Do you guys know of anyone that gives cash for club trade in? Everywhere I generally go just does credit.
Another loser that won't be missed.. Sergio and Kokrak would honestly be a bigger blow competition wise... This week, Rickie Fowler had the chance to join them in speaking out in support of staying on Tour, but instead kept his cards close to his chest When asked about whether or not he is considering joining the LIV Golf Series, he said “It’s an interesting position”. When he was asked about whether or not he’s been invited to play in the series during a pre-tournament media session at Southern Hills, Fowler admitted that he had. “To be straightforward with you guys, I haven’t necessarily made a decision one way or the other,’’ Fowler said. “I’ve mentioned in the past, do I currently think the PGA Tour is the best place to play? I do. Do think it can be better? Yes.” “So I think it’s an interesting position. Obviously there’s the LIV and the Premier (Golf League), as well. These tours or leagues, however you want to classify or call them, they wouldn’t really be coming up if they didn’t see that there was more opportunity out there. I’ve always looked at competition being a good thing. It’s the driving force of our game. “Being with guys at home, that’s how I always grew up is competing. I think competition ultimately makes people better, whether it’s business, sport. So it’s interesting, that’s for sure.’’ Fowler has struggled in recent years, and has dropped to 146th in the world rankings.
Thanks to this I was able to watch David Duval in 2002 pga championship (when David was still, a prime follow) with about 20 other people because EVERYONE followed Tiger during practice round.
*playing golf which is probably why he’s mad. He probably thinks his off course appearances gain him more status on the tour when it’s more likely reversed.
Rickie has probably been one of the most negatively impacted by modern equipment/distance so I don't necessarily blame him for listening to alternative leagues that are openly courting him. Obviously PGL would be much more palatable to see him defect to rather than LIV
