They are looking to be the first undefeated champion in 16 years. And I’m not being against them (although I’d love for this new version of ND to get a shot in a rematch)
I'm very far from a knowledgeable fan and the whole shoot it out of bounds and racing to be the closest annoys the fuck out of me but Penn State 3-4 years ago was the best team I've ever seen. Maryland is amazing but if that team was beat, Maryland certainly can
Anything can happen, but it would be hard to bet against this team. They can be a little streaky, but those streaks can sometimes be 5-10 goal swings.
Oh yeah. They are far and away the best team in the country and only a crazy person is betting against them
From Maryland having to potentially play Virginia in the quarters, to 6 Ivy League teams, to ND not getting in despite having a better resume than Harvard (and Ohio state, but they had the head to head, so that’s fine), that’s just an atrocious bracket.
My kid at his final regular season game this year after being moved up to Varsity. I love this sport!
Princeton just won their first ncaa game since 2009 (!!!) and congrats to South Carolina for winning the club national championship
And Penn wins it in OT (of course). Great game. Wish Richmond was able to pull it off, but Penn made the huge plays at the end
BU got worked in the face off x and totally steamrolled in the first. Couldn’t ever really find their footing in the game. Cool step for the program but not quite ready for the stage.
The outright disrespect of the ACC this year has me rooting for #Virginia Cavaliers and this is not a position I like to find myself in
Can’t figure out which team here is more disrespected. UVa without a seed or Brown hearing everyone say they’re going to get trucked by the Hoos. edit: and both teams being a sacrificial lamb for Maryland next round Love watching Shellenberger work.
Agreed. Both incredibly disrespected. Brown much better than people give them credit for. I just can’t stomach a 4-4 Ivy day
Quite the offensive explosion from uva here. UVA Maryland is hopefully closer to last years championship game than this years regular season game
I hope today follows yesterday. Blowout at noon, followed by 2 fantastic games. Not sure what I see the nightcap being close
#Ohio State Buckeyes up early on Cornell. They led 3-0 in their regular season game before Cornell went on a major run
Fortunately, that included the nightcap not being competitive. Don’t think Delaware has an actual chance (and they’ve stalled basically since the 1st quarter) but it’s close
The three Maryland guys I’ve trained, all had goals today (Eric Malever, Ryan Siracusa, and Ajax Zapitello).
Still low scoring but we’ve definitely picked up here in the 2nd quarter. Think god one is going to be close throughout
Finally caught up on the replays, that was my first thought. Completely clueless as to where the ball was in the first half. Handley neutralized and Rutgers too deep all over the field. Slightly annoyed that team is so heavily reliant on the portal but whatever.
Was yesterday the best day of jersey lacrosse ever? I know Princeton win countless championships in the 90s, but they now have two final for teams for the first time ever. Excited about today, but my expectations are lower. Maryland dismantling Virginia earlier this year in the fashion that they did has me thinking today’s going to be similar
