Had Das yesterday, it was good but I remember it being better. I’ll get fat on that creamed corn though.
Was at cumberland. Ended up grabbing the varsity due to threats from the wife about being out past bedtime. Apparently my two year old are an entire tube of tooth paste and dumped a gallon of milk in living room floor last night.
No shame in that. I bought my driver there but only after demoing it one a real range bc I hate hitting off turf into nets. A putter shouldn’t come with the same concerns.
He might be referencing this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geo...odal Passenger,Gulch area of Downtown Atlanta. A lot of people were expecting the gulch project to leave it out.
Amtrak is going to eventually get a big infusion of cash. They are going to expand service. Thus, to facilitate this, we are going to scrap the current amtrak station and build a new one. A transit center with linkage to Marta (for airport) + plus Bus depots (current ones are by Garnett and Civic Center stations) + Amtrak. Perhaps even to attract a Brightline partnership. I will look around for them but there are some solid Amtrak graphics on their plan for regional rail expansion (lot of controversy on in/around greenville, sc via CLT) that show what they are thinking. Lot of thought was that you put the multimodal center further up north to reduce costs with an emphasis on routes to chattanooga/nashville and charlotte...but wanting it downtown seems to prioritize routes to Savannah and west to Bham and Amtrak's focus on Nola-Mobile. Would think this proposal has the blessing of Centennial Yards and the Resslers.
I'd love for some legit high speed rail from atlanta. So many ~4-5 hour drives that would be an amazing train ride.
this is one proposal from Amtrak, there are some more-detailed. https://www.amtrak.com/content/dam/...eports/Amtrak-2021-Corridor-Vision-060121.pdf I have seen another proposal where they go to the Greenville/Spartanburg airport rather than Downtown Greenville (thats a big sticking point). Then on that corridor. I think the Savannah and Chattanooga routes are of paramount importance. Then you have haggling over where to put the Multimodal Terminal. Doraville, the GM plant, was discussed - and you can see that reflected above. Especially if Gwinnett bought in to heavy rail. There is also another Amtrak proposal linking Dallas to ATL using the existing line to BHam and Meridian MS.
Trains are great. You can show up 5 minutes before departure, change your trip for free, and sit, drink, and watch movies otw to your destination. Americans are so dumb.
It current takes like 12 hours to get from Atlanta to New Orleans. Trains need to be efficient and quick. They need regional trains too that bypass stops to make shit faster.
Sucks to hear.... Which one did you go to? Haven't had the one on Memorial yet. I'd love to take the train to Charlotte for an Atlanta United game. That would be a blast. Right now the only options for taking a train to Charlotte are unreasonable -- train departs at like 2AM. Would happily take the extra hour and a half to ride a train. Hell, I'd take the one to Birmingham as well. Just watch movies and have drinks, it's fun imo.
I know, but I just wanted to add that the only people with more Acela miles than me are President Biden and Peter King. The coffee sucks, by the way.
GTL 2.0! A whole new Jersey Shore cast leads a slew of fresh MTV and VH1 reality shows Don't worry, the O.G. Jersey crew is also back with another season of Family Reunion. Plus, The Surreal Life returns, more Love & Hip Hop and Black Ink Crew — and something called Buckhead Shore? Congrats to Clown Baby and Where Eagles Dare on their national TV debut on the show Buckhead Shore.
I honestly would watch the first few episodes just because of the location and to see where they go. I'd probably be bored of it by then and stop.
Parent's said he suffered from mental health issues....glad he was able to secure a gun legally, I'm sure
