As I understand the new law, twitch has to now remove a stream saying “killing black people is bad” so that they can show they are balanced on “both sides” of this issue. Otherwise, they’re just discriminating against Republicans.
Yeah it’s “viewpoint discrimination” that the neo-fascist party are insisting is a problem. So unless a social media company bans both sides of a view, they’re guilty of discrimination.
We don't condone his actions, but we respect his right to livestream a mass casualty hate crime. Also, the first clause in that sentence is a stretch in Texas.
i doubt it's an all-out purge like the GOP did with Cawthorn. Cornyn's always wanted to paint himself as more reasonable/less ghoulish than Ted so he'll occasionally say something extremely tepid that's already blatantly obvious to anyone not fully indoctrinated into the right-wing cult, but only when there is absolutely no chance of any blowback for him doing so. gives him cover with republican-leaning suburbanites who don't want to seem fully unhinged fucker's one of the most craven cowards out there
He's not up for re-election for 4 years, but I guess having a sound byte on the record is still good if the next 4 years under Paxton are even worse than the last 4
Can't have a gas powered car because it boils the planet. Can't charge your electric car during the subsequent heat waves. Love that capitalism gives you no options.
I was in San Antonio this week. 105 every day. Was supposed to stay the weekend for a wedding but I was like nah…
Despite pleas from the girl’s family, the Dallas Police Department never investigated the case due to Texas Family Code laws, which says missing juveniles are treated as runaways “unless there are circumstances which appear as involuntary such as a kidnapping or abduction.” Her parents sought the help of the Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative (TXCTI) to find their missing daughter. The counter-trafficking nonprofit found nude photos of the 15-year-old girl on a prostitution website, leading Oklahoma City police to raid an Extended Stay America Hotel on 18 April.
Aren’t Conservatives all about ending child trafficking??? This shit should be on blast. Fortenberry said when the father realized his daughter was missing, he notified police at the game. But, according to Fortenberry, the father was told to report it to North Richland Hills police, where he lives. The father called North Richland Hills police, but was told by the law enforcement agency that it couldn’t help because the the incident happened in Dallas, Fortenberry said.
Lol, they’re trying to say Josh Duggar only needs 5 years max in his sentencing. The prosecution asked for 30-life. They can only sentence 20-life but the prosecution asked for more due to the severity of the material he had, yet conservatives think he should only get 5 years because he was such a good citizen. He’s gonna get pardoned by Huckabee when she becomes governor but the fact that the GOP tries to convey that they care about children and child predators is laughable.
I’ve read this book I think twice Every time I see it mentioned I can’t remember what it’s about and I google it and it’s like the first time I’ve heard of anything that happens
i mean austin's probably got half of that 40% alone from all the tech bro shitheads who flooded the place
Gunna go with 1) lack of government oversight 2) large population of libertarian shitheels 3) large population of techie shitheels 4) large population of military families that love them a pyramid scheme
There are several worse states to raise them. Not that Texas isn’t shitty especially when it comes to education, but I can think of worse places like my hometown for instance.
Oklahoma is much poorer with much fewer people so does not get the attention but the things they try to do there to cut the legs out from under education are pretty deplorable. I am sure LuPoor can fill us in.
Same goes for Arkansas. Pretty sure those along with Louisiana, MS and Bama round out the bottom of the list for education.
Oh, I don't consider Texas the bottom. I assume OK, AR, MS, LA, AL, TN and probably KY to be worse in that respect. No chance I would ever live in any of the states.
I don’t think any other state is actively trying to punish children because of their race and ruin any chance of their futures
Yeah it’s going to get really bad for minority kids. We all know they’re not going after any European kids who have undocumented parents.
Schools in DFW are really tricky to navigate and will only get worse. There are three tracks: Underfunded and poorly performing public schools that nobody tries to improve. Formerly good public districts whose boards are being overrun by chuds. Private schools, lmao I may have to get involved in some capacity when my kids get to be that age, which I dread.
