I was all about the blue VC Overseas dual time, but the hint of red on the black and silver dials makes all the difference.
Never loved the balance, or lack of, on dual time watches. AP or VC. But to each his own. Do love this though. The bracelet options are nice too.
Sipping coffee on the lounge this morning & glance over at the wife… browsing Cartier & JLC. I’ve created a monster
My wife is currently happy with her Apple wrist device with no interest in an actual watch. I’m fine with this for the most part.
Told her to check out the Tank Must. 5 minutes later: “You know that’s an inferior version. I think I’d want the original”. Mind you, this is the same woman that told me to get her a Michael Kors 3-4 years ago, when I told her I wanted to get her a nice watch.
saw this listing today and thought of this thread: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=848582
I’ve been eyeing the SPB183 because of how much I’ve liked my 143. It also comes with a nice blue rubber strap. I figured out I could almost get the same watch for about 900 less so I ordered this one today.
Click the link, send your $$$, and squeeze your ass cheeks really tight in case you get fucked by the Reddit seller
Pretty much this. That seller has 400+ transactions, so I’d personally be comfortable buying from him. To your question: create a Reddit account, comment “PM incoming” in his thread, then send him a message that you’re interested in purchasing.
You have no guarantees they will send it. Some guy with a shit ton of sales that is active on the board probably doesn't want to ruin his reputation but he could just take your money and the bad publicity. I've bought 2 watches on there and have had no problems.
Brought this one out last weekend. It can't compete with the Daytona but its a fun watch that had been sitting in the watch box for awhile.
I really think they have some of the absolute best designs out there, micro or otherwise. So different and always interesting but never garish.
They definitely do. Also get quite a bang for your buck price-wise. Probably my favorite micro-brand out there.
Auction my buddy is running has some cards and watches in it. I'm on top of the cards but not watches. Is this one worth going after? Shape seems relatively rough
No, I’ve tried it on and loved it. They hold their value fairly well, but you’ll see them preowned pretty frequently if you go that route. I really liked the one with dark gray trim and they all come with interchangeable quick release bands.
Need to find somewhere to try one on. Been thinking my next purchase would be a sportier diver like the Pelagos but maybe this instead. Then again my current personal preference for my next one will change 100 more times before I’m actually ready to buy.
Have medium two tone. Put it on OEM green croc strap. Like it quite a bit. bracelet is obviously nice too.
Have yet to see the Solar Beat. Think it’s a cool watch, but have the Tank Solo and Basculante. Don’t have enough status to get one of the new musts.
My uncle has a nice Cartier collection and I’ve never understood his like for them. But it’s not like he’s buying them for me…but when he dies and they get willed to me, I’m selling them and getting something more my flair. Hey
Had a guy in my old group at work (a manufacturing plant by the way) who I’ve never seen wear anything other than an Apple wrist device show up in a white gold black bezel Daytona today. Me: Him:
