This new Zach Bryan. My god. Strong fiddle and a song about a stubborn sons misguided attempt at redemption and to prove himself. This song fucks and it fucks hard.
The songs that I’ve gotten to being as good as they are make me hate the format even more. I’m hesitant to go back and listen to songs as I work through the album because then I’ll be listening for three hours. Just too much.
I wish I were writing down the songs I REALLY liked as I went. It’s gonna be hard as fuck to go back through this
My issue with Bryan is my issue with this album being so long. He has spells in his albums where everything starts to run together (still good but samey). This album has that and it’s a lot of songs to deal with. it’s got some big time slaps tho
I’m through the 1st like 20 songs and Heavy Eyes and Sober side of Sorry are my favorites. I love Cold Damn Vampires too but that’s a old song I’ve liked just about every song but they do start to run together and sound the same after a while
You are my sunshine is fucking beautiful too. Forgot to mention that one. Top 5 after listening to it all: 1) Heavy Eyes 2) Sober Side of Sorry 3) Poems and Closing Time 4) Corinthians 5) Cold Damn Vampires So many good songs. I dont think I dislike any of them. Great album.
I was able to listen to some of his stuff on the flight out to Denver and he stole the Luke Combs show. Easily the best opening act and I am now a fan.
