The Democratic Party is a football team that throws it four straight times on 1st and goal from the one. These are layups and they won’t say a word.
He’s not a centrist as much as he has his own opinions. Pro union, weed, but also pro israel, guns, and fracking. I think you could probably say that’s probably true of most people.
Not really a “let’s get this person fired because of their bad online opinions” guy but just reported this lady since she was being racist at work to complete strangers.
Totally agree. To his credit, Biden has tried to have the 'what kind of America do we want to be' conversation, but seems like a lot of times it's during a speech at 2pm on a Wednesday at some factory in Indiana. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but he trying to talk over the noise of a hurricane and no other Ds are helping him (for the most part),
Folks don't know how to react when a candidate doesn't subscribe to a specific ideology on all issues. Fetterman is progressive on some issues, not so much on others. He is the kind of Democrat that will perform well in rural areas.
I recall an interview from around the 2018 midterms where fetterman criticized the Hillary campaign for not visiting enough counties in 2016. Halfassed campaign is a systemic dem issue. Fetterman just won every county in his state.
Don’t downplay fetterman being huge, it at least feeds into fantasies of certain senators being told to shut the fuck up to their face
This list such a microcosm of the Democratic leadership unwillingness to loosen grips of the party's power apparatus and let newer members rise in the power structructure. Their recutlance to retire has led to this lack-luster list of reasonable party leaders. The fact that 20% of respondents are unsure should tell you all need to know.
I think answering the question of “how are the supply issues going” with saying we need to go to texas and take formula from migrants is pretty racist and inappropriate. She could have said “it’s not good but improving a little bit.” my wife isn’t one for confrontation so she quickly just moved along and we left the lady be.
Kemp takes comfy lead over Perdue (Maga candidate) in GA Bodes well for 2024, Trump seems to be losing his power Now we just need to work on Tubs https://news.yahoo.com/incumbent-kemp-takes-comfortable-lead-130831556.html
Perdue has run zero commercials and has fewer signs than super maga lunatic Kandiss Taylor kemp will win in a landslide sadly
Havent seen a Perdue sign in ATL which is to be expected. We’re all rooting for Abrams obvs but Kemp def preferable to Perdue who would have complied with the Trump election shenanigans. Im hopeful for Stacy - think she’s going to have a tough road though. Georgia economy has been gangbusters and crime has been in the Atlanta headlines. Going to be super tight again I like Warnock’s chances against Walker, think he’s going to put his foot in his mouth once in the national spotlight
Aware of that. He beat Sessions primarily just being the MAGA guy, hoping we can get that seat back when he’s up
"We" aren't getting that seat back. Jones was a perfect storm. If you mean a Trump-distanced Republican, you obviously haven't kept up with the current Alabama senate GOP primary. They're all lockstep with Trump.
"I heard each person is handed a 6 month supply when they step onto Texas soil." Big brain rwnj at some point
I have a bit - but probably not as close as you given I don’t live there any more. My impression of Britt (would be interested in hearing yours) is that she’s a Richard Shelby / old time Republican who’s trying to be MAGA enough to win primary but wouldn’t govern in such a manner. She’s been in Washington for awhile. Mo is a dyed in the wool asshole, not as familiar with Durant tbh
Britt's campaign is being run by the same people as Tubs'. There's no difference. I know you've devoted millions of keystrokes to defending the position that there is still some "reasonable" republican party left, but that's a fantasy. Anyone from Alabama with an R by his/her name will vote the exact same way, and it will be against the best interest of Alabamians.
Just trying to have a discussion man. Hard to say there isn’t a difference. Mo Brooks wanted to overthrow the election, Kemp did not give in and potentially saved democracy by standing firm on the GA recount. Not voting for either, but there’s levels to this IMO
But, when you're talking about senators, there really aren't levels to this. Mitt Romney -- the most "moderate" Republican in the Senate, votes with Marsha Blackburn, who is insane, ~95% of the time.
I mean look at this lunacy, this fucking lady is a teacher in Appling County and I have to hear about liberal indoctrination foh
Brian Kemp has done more to burden the vote than Brooks could ever dream of. Fuck off with any motion of Kemp saving democracy (because he presumably didn’t take a sharpie to numbers that he had no control of?), he’s trying his damndest to kill it, and frankly, is much more effective at it than the batshit insane people.
Should have just let it go. If she does get fired or reprimanded for it all you’ve done is reinforce her belief that she’s a victim due to liberal policies and it makes her worse. And if fired maybe she has kids that suffer from it. She’s stocking shelves. It’s not like anything she does or says is going to sway anyone’s beliefs. Sometimes it’s just best to move on from something.
YOLO. My brother works at the same grocery store and said she’s a shit person and sorta high in her department. They ain’t firing anyone they’re hurting for labor.
60 Minutes tonight - a drug shortage bc companies don’t fund producing generics profitable. Neat-o system here. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/medicine-middlemen-60-minutes-preview-2022-05-20/
Dang I thought we were going to get a seizing the means of production there but it just turned racist at the end.
Maybe it's just me but after hearing multiple "lets go Brandon" during the PGA Championship it's very revealing you never hear about the "Biden Derangement Syndrome" from the super above everything "moderates" who were obsessed with the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and whatnot from 2016-2020.
I think the most depressing thing for me is knowing that we’re going full steam ahead into fascism in the next few years, and even though I don’t think the biden administration could have reversed that course, I figured we’d at least get a fight. But I think we’re just going to lazily drift into it.
