Still, an employee shouldn’t fight a customer regardless of who started it, unless their life was threatened, which it wasn’t. And after escalating by slapping the customer when things could’ve calmed down, to getting up after leaking out, things won’t be looking good for United/this dude.

I don’t know why but I watched this way longer than I should have and kept laughing every time someone hit them. My favorite is the brake slams after they realize what just happened.

 

What the hell is the purpose of this?

 

I assume they put them there because it appears people speed down that road all the time.

 

Obviously that's the purpose of speed bumps, but two seems excessive.

 

My first thought as well. I noticed the big white arrows but you’d think they’d be painted yellow. I’ve seen some that just have white cross lines along them as well though.

 

I would set up a lawn chair and cooler and sit there all day enjoying that

 

There’s a good TikTok account where it’s just a guy excitedly filming cars going way too fast approaching the new speed bump in front of his house.

I remember when living in Mississippi they didn’t paint their speed bumps yellow or have any markings in our apartment complex and they were some brutal bastards. Basically like the parking space dividers only asphalt. I hit one when we first moved in hard enough to send my head smacking off the roof of my truck.

A lot of people might know this but I didn’t until recently. The people who write studies like that don’t get any of the proceeds from the journals when someone pays to read it. In most cases, the authors will send you the report for free if you email them directly to ask.

 

I remember one of my professors at UO going on a pretty great rant when the university canceled subscriptions to certain journals while it was raising tuition across the board and getting record numbers of out of state students because of football

He spoke at an assembly I attended in like 11th grade and spent most of the time bashing scientists and claiming global warming wasn't really happening

 

about 15 years ago when I was working in Cat Scan I got stuck in an elevator with a patient for about 45 minutes. I was returning him to his room post scan and we got stuck in between floors. Of course the patient had spent the last hour drinking contrast and had to pee. Luckily we got stuck between two nursing floors so they were able to hook us up with a urinal. thank god for that

Stuck on elevator pro tip
If stuck in an elevator try repeatedly hitting either the door open button (if stuck at a floor) or the floor you wretrying to get to button (if stuck between floors), while shaking/rocking the doors back and forth as much as you can (not trying to pry them open, just rocking them)

Source, I was stuck in an elevator in a different city and while waiting on the fire department was able to get ahold of an elevator tech I know through work. He said 90% of the time it's a door alignment issue that makes the elevator freak out and the rocking can get it to hit alignment just enough to respond.
We got out of the elevator just in time to see the firemen coming down the hall with giant crow bars.

 

That contrast made me have to do more than pee
