In the group stage Jose played a bunch of kids and lost 6-1 then said after that people keep asking why certain players don’t play and now they see why. Then won the competition
They said on the air that Jose is now (obviously) the only manager to win UCL, UEL and UECL. Made me curious, the only others I could see that won both UCL and UEL are Rafa and Giovanni Trapattoni. Trapattoni is 83 and been out of management for 9 years but will be paying attention if Rafa takes a job with a club on UECL
On the flip side, we’ve qualified for UCL the past 5 seasons when Jose hasn’t managed the club. Wish him no ill will whatsoever, and getting fired before a final is shitty, but he’s great for the sport and absolutely adored in Rome.
Hat tip to Illinihockey for mentioning this in the other day but I didn’t think about what it meant. Real Madrid’s last loss in a UCL final came 41 years ago in Paris to LFC. Since LFC last lost in 2018 to Real, that means they both last lost to each other. Find that a cool stat
He doesn’t know. But someone should probably tell him in his ear. I assume the producers have twitter.
I don't see the lfc fans reacting well to being blamed for the incompetence of event staff and security.
I’ve only seen videos of Liverpool fans standing around waiting. So I don’t know why tear gas would’ve been used.
