will he might have been in Copenhagen Airport. and O’Hare is a shithole compared to Copenhagen. Copenhagen airport is top tier.
Well i am Danish so i can very easily do that. Although i think ORD is the second best American airport i’ve been to. thats not saying much though, American airports are god awful.
Guinness, Trinity College, St. Stephens Green, Kilmainham Gaol. There's an area of town very near temple bar that has lots of cool bars, restaurants and shops that's a little less touristy, but temple bar is fun too.
Rome Rome Rome if you enjoy history/western civ/antiquities and great food. Your Venice plan and the Vienna recommendations above are excellent.
I’m actually trying to plan a trip to Africa this November. My primary goal is to swim in Devils Pool at Victoria Falls. Briefly looked at the mountain gorillas in Rwanda, but didn’t seem easy. Perhaps Botswana for elephants and Namibia for the skeleton coast. You absolutely have to do the Emirates A380 first class. Most exceptional flying experience I’ve ever had.
Have five hours in New Orleans before a 6 o'clock flight to Seattle. Going to eat crawfish, eat oysters, and drink beer for all of it. Lord help who sits next to me on the plane
Article is 9 years old?! Ah the good ol days when trump was simply referred to as a professional asshole and not president. He’s not wrong though…Qatar’s airport shits on anything in America.
Guinness and Jameson tours. Stop and see Temple Bar but don’t spend much time there. It’s a tourist trap.
When are you going? June 16 is Bloomsday. A lot of the pubs mentioned by Joyce still exist and celebrate. James Joyce isn’t for everyone though.
Fuck fuck fuck. I was supposed to fly PDX-AMS-OSL at the end of July and Delta just changed it to PDX-SLC-AMS-OSL. The SLC-AMS is regularly 30+ minutes late departing and I only have a 60 min window from arrival in AMS to departure of my flight to OSL. The PDX direct flight is almost never delayed. I called and asked why my itinerary was changed and if it could be changed back and was basically told no. Anyone familiar with how long it takes to get through customs in Amsterdam to make the next flight? My wife is meeting me in Oslo and we’re then taking the train to Bergen (supposed to be one of the most scenic in the world) and we only have a 2 hour window so if I miss my AMS-OSL flight we’ll be fucked.
Schipol has had massive staffing issues recently, I think particular to security. Might only affect security of passengers originating in AMS but at least a couple times over the last month or two KLM has told people to stay home.
You’ll also have to go through security again in Amsterdam. Not the normal security you’d go through if you originated there, but the shortened version of security they make you go through on your way to the connecting flights.
Yes, but I’ve read that they have an express lane specifically for people that have tight connection times. I guess there is a monitor that will have your name/flight that allows you to access it? I’m just more concerned about the immigration part.
transferring through schiphol to get our connection to copenhagen was PROBABLY the worst airport experience I've had internationally having to sleep in the charlotte airport then take a greyhound bus was the worst domestically
I mean it's the international gateway for a country whose raison d'etre is ostentatious wealth (and destitute poverty/slavery) so
