I will not begrudge anyone for their opinion but that was delightful. Ewan of course slays. I need to figure out my daytime viewing in my new home if every tv show is going to take place in the deepest night and I have all this glare.
Would love to hear more of your thoughts on school shootings in the Uvalde thread. https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/uvalde-tx-school-shooting.183367/
He said it was Ben. Which, assuming that’s the only thing she ever learns about him beyond that he’s a Jedi, you’d think would be the way she addresses him, not “General Kenobi.”
Love little Leia, but that actress looks closer to 5 than 10. Some people will never be satisfied. I guess I’m lucky in that I’m not too deep in SW lore so nothing can be ruined for me. Going in blind.
I was getting irritated i recognized her but couldnt figure out from where so i had to stop down. She was in Queens Gambit.
Was half expecting to see Grogu escape the temple during the Order 66 scene. Glad they didn’t Chase scene was lol Reva needs to dial it down a couple notches like MG2 said. Curious why she has a hate boner for Kenobi…Ambition or some back story to be revealed the Fake Jedi hustler came through I like it, will continue to shut my mind off and enjoy
think she was a younglin from the beginning. She hates kenobi because he trained anakin. She actually hates anakin and is trying to impress Vader to get close to him to kill is going to be the big “reveal” I bet
Don't know about the Vader part, but it felt like they were setting up something about her being a youngling. It's the only way her psycho stuff made any sense to me.
I agree, especially when Netflix has one for the new strangers things first episode. At the same time, I could see not wanting to call attention to it if it wasn't considered graphic and explicitly showing it, like in episode 3 it happened off screen during the temple attacks(I could be remembering it wrong, but there were some kids who ran into Anakin and then they cut away).
I think she knows Anakin is Vader or at least suspects it. Otherwise how did she know to tell Kenobi Anakin was alive?
I think she saw him first hand in the temple and knows he is vader. Maybe he spared her personally? I’m more ccurios why kenobi acted surprised he was alive. Yoda told him 10 years ago he was alive
so I remember watching a Star Wars YouTube video awhile back that delved into the comics/books to explain what Darth Vader was up to between Ep 3 & 4. One of the things they convered was that barely anyone knew Vader was Anakin, and anyone that figured it out wound up being killed by Vader. I know that stuff isn't canon, but I thought it was interesting that Reva knew who he was.
I don’t have tik tok so that video is like 3 seconds long. Kenobi changed the message after the temple was sacked. I don’t know what this is trying to say
Here’s the clip. Although this that I’m thinking about it, she could have just learned about anakin/Vader from the video in the archives and wasn’t a youngling. She found out about obi wan and organa from the archives
I had to look it up for the same reason. She turns 10 in June but my kids weren’t buying it either. Guess she was 8 when she started filming, but that is a baby of a 10 year old.
Otherwise, I laughed at absurdity of first chase scene and definitely got annoyed they decided to throw in another. also agree 3rd sister is tuned so extreme it’s almost obvious she’s going to turn good before it’s done. but all in all I’m just glad I get to see more of magregor’s kenobi so happy to be watching. Kinda sad the series is already 1/3 over.
I think it's saying some people think all black people are the same without saying it out loud. It's also ignoring that Anakin was at full strength and those kids couldn't have hidden from him no matter what. If the show starts meme'ing itself with these stupid chase scenes every episode it's going to drag it down into halo-tier annoyance.
The first scene with the inquisitor made me think of the first scene in Inglorious Basterds. After we wrapped up my daughter and I watched Inglorious Basterds. She loved it ~fin
There’s a ton more stuff on Disney + besides this that make it worth it. If you’re a SW fan then it’s absolutely worth it for the movies and series. Same as Marvel. In terms of streaming services it’s HBO Max and Disney +.
That was a member of the 501st, the regiment of troopers anakin led and also the guys that stormed the Jedi temple. He definitely recognized him.
I think she is 8 which is an interesting choice. You rarely see child actors playing older than they really are.
Saw what happened with Stranger Things and are planning ahead if they need Young Leia again in a year or two. like "yes...we're all still in 9th grade"
Assumed same explanation. Watched with my 9yo grandson, and the girl was clearly younger than his female peers.
Hmmmm my oldest was born in 2012. She must be tiny. She looks closer to my 4 year old than 9 year old.
I enjoyed the first two episodes but as always with these disney+ series the secondary characters are usually awful and poorly acted/scripted. I'll continue to watch however I can already tell this should've been a movie
Star Wars fans are no exception from the pure filth of humanity online. I don’t think there’s anything about the franchise itself that would attract or feed racism.
No other franchise has had actors delete social media and talk about being pushed to suicide because of the level of visceral hate they have recieved simply for playing a role. Ahmed Best Kelly Marie Tran Daisy Ridley John Boyega and now Moses Ingram. I can't think of any franchise that comes close to this level of toxicity
WTF. Yeah I thought the scenes she was in were terribly acted, but people are actually attacking her? Racially attacking her? I took it more as the script just being full of cheese like little Leia and the chase scenes.
