Tested positive for Covid on Friday so I bought Diablo 2 on Xbox. Pretty happy with the purchase. Played this when I was 10 so there’s some nostalgia value for me.
Play Path of Exile (Pc preferable to console but it is an option). Free. The true successor to D2. Ask any questions you might have, I love this game.
1. It's gonna be free to play and 2. It is looking like we will be able to take a trip to New Zealand to play it on the 24th.
Confirmed...I took a trip to New Zealand this AM and played a couple of rounds. It's very fun...extremely chaotic... Down to play after lunch.
Anyone with Gamepass... I started the tutorial for Crusader Kings III and this game is pretty awesome, but also pretty complicated. Anyway, here's a starter video if that style of game might interest you
One day I will figure out the inheritance laws so my weak-ass older sons stop taking all of my titles from my younger Genius son.
My brother and I were looking for a free game to play together online, we settled on Splitgate. Pretty easy shooter to pick and play right away, we had a pretty good time playing for a couple hours last night.
Assassins Creed: Origins is now on gamepass Ps: anybody found a good game to spend that $5 credit on?
Maybe…. They made a lot of ‘changes’ that were needed and had no excuse to not be there at launch. Staples as simple like a damage counter. But the amount of content is hilariously minuscule. One map, two weapons, and two vehicles? What a joke. Also one specialist that no one cares for. They could earn back some good will if they deleted specialist and made classes, but they wont. Game is on very much in life support.
Oh yeah...totally agree. It's unreal they even released the game in the state it was in...and then to have the first season pass almost a year later with this little content is laughable. It's left me thinking if this is the last big game that DICE ever releases. Same...I will definitely jump on and see how it plays now. I didn't NOT have fun...but it's way better with friends. Additionally, basically each of their last 3-4 releases (BFV, BF1, BF4) have had a slow (albeit 6ish months rather than a year) start and became great games
Pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. I had some fun, for sure, but it eventually became unplayable in the state it was in. When is this releasing, BTW? Went ahead and re-installed
The reveal trailer is happening in 15 minutes and I would assume they will have a release date included. BF2042 did have a big patch come out this morning of 9GB though.
Part of me wants to see 2042 tank prematurely, but I worry that'll be the end of Battlefield. They have royally fucked up 2 releases in a row, and BFV is miles better than 2042 which is saying something. I got a kick out of Shroud trying to give it another go the other day, and it fucked his whole computer up. They can't even pay streamers to play this garbage.
Map looks cool. Top of the cliffs are barren like most 2042 maps. Lots of action in that trailer and not much substance. At least they can still make a good trailer.
The trailer and map looked awesome but so did the entire game before it released haha. Will definitely give it a go. June 9th release date.
They reduced the number of air attack vehicles to 1 per team. Seems a stupid thing to do in a game that has huge maps and 128 people.
Believe they lowered the player count to 64 on most if not all game types (or made it the "standard" while still having the 128 option in the server browser).
Pretty sure that was just for Rush. I haven’t touched the game in months. Hell Let Loose and a little ARMA reforger has been a god send. I even reluctantly played some war zone to get my FPS fix.
I've been playing online with friends as Vikings. Btw, Vestfold is a great starting option for 867, that ruler is awesome. This game is really fun once you get going. After a few hours of co-op, I thought I'd learned enough to venture out and try a solo start. I unwittingly chose Asturias (Northern Spain/Portugal) in 867 as my starting country and holy shit. First of all, 2 months in, I've got a dickhead cousin who started a faction against me to claim the throne. That pissed me off, so I put him on house arrest, but even then his faction kept growing, so I cut his head off. The council now hates me, and I was labeled a "kin killer," and his 8 year old son is now running his duchy. Almost right after that, the sultan to the south says I'm unfit to be a leader and declares war on me. I messed up picking a wife -- she's got great breeding traits, but my only alliance is with the tiny country to the east. I don't have much money to raise an army, but with my ally, we were able to win 2 battles despite having only half the troops of the sultan's forces. In those battles, we captured 2 sheikhs and instead of ransoming them for 50 gold, I cut off their heads because I wanted to send a message. Luckily, it worked and he accepted a white peace shortly after. That brings me to where I'm at now.
I dig survival games/base building etc. I’ve enjoyed Ark, and stranded deep, how does green hell compare?
Green Hell is more story driven. It’s a full survival game but the premise is to survive to be able to learn about all the island’s mysteries. Game is pretty unforgiving too, which I like.
Hell Let Loose is awesome and completely unforgiving. If they finally got Squad on console, I would buy it day one. That game looks like a blast.
It is, and it’s very rough currently, but I’m down to try out more pc hardcore games and arma has always been on the wish list. The community is awesome and there’s a game master mode that is really dynamic. Devs are going to give it steady updates and it should be a solid build prior to the release of arma 4. Plus there’s full community mod support.
There is a rumor (it may just be wishful thinking) that Microsoft will shadow drop it Sunday after its presentation. No idea if it’s a remake or not though.
I'd love to play it optimized with a real controller. Tried to play it a year ago on an old n64 and it did not go well. No clue how I managed back in the day
