my Garmin says I've logged 18,855 steps today so far but when going to Publix if I'm towards the back of the parking lot (~200 feet), nah that's too far, I may just leave the cart there, especially if I'm in a rush.
Odin, fuck you weirdo I’m at the point where I hate people who don’t stack carts. I’m very far from a good person but today saw carts all over, stacked them, then some jackass came behind me literally 2 seconds later and threw it wildly at it These cart guys aren’t making shit, why make their lives harder instead of giving 2 seconds of effort /tuesdayoutrage
I think about this thread every time I take the extra 1-2 minutes to return my cart to the front of the store like a good citizen. But I also give 0 seconds of concern towards anyone else's behavior with shopping carts. How does something like this make you rage Gunners
As a former cart guy at Sam’s club in high school, I appreciate your service. It was amazing how many people would shove it into parking lot oblivion when the corral was a few feet away only to turn around and see me standing there like hey asshole. A few people would be embarrassed and go get it, the others got our line of carts behind them to block them in. I made $8.40 an hour back in 2003-2004 so it was pretty baller but dealt with so many idiots. You think I can fit this king mattress and box spring I just bought in my Camry?
Watched someone at Aldi just leave their cart next to their car as they left. it takes a special lack of fucks to give if you have to pay to get your cart and still not return it to get your money back
I have a spot for my Aldi quarter in my car. I will not spend it because the odds I randomly have a quarter at any given moment in 2022 are very long. Protect the Aldi quarter at all costs.
Was walking into Lidl a while back and lady shoved her cart in the general direction of the front of the store, across the drive, and it stopped 3/4 of the way. I yelled at her “you can’t walk 10 more feet?” to which she replied “no, im pregnant.” It was that day I learned pregnant women have a max step count in any given hour.
I get your point, but I’m over how many times a pick up or grocery delivery has wrong items. Not just unfortunate substitutions. Just random items missing and inserted.
I hardly ever get groceries delivered. Only did it this week bc my wife gave me covid. Also, not sure doing it from Aldi's is that big of a flex. Heh
I buy pretty much everything online but no thanks on groceries. Need to check all fruits/vegetables and never have Gatorade or the soda I like. The meat on Amazon fresh is not up to par either. Have standards
It wasn't a regular occurrence but it wasn't exactly a rare occurrence either for me to find prescription drugs left behind in carts. I could have potentially made a killing on a side hustle of selling drugs left behind in shopping carts.
My favorite move now is when I get a good parking spot up front and am loading up the groceries to leave, it never fails, someone will pull up, turn their blinker on to call dibs on my spot. So I calmly finish loading my groceries in my truck, and then when finished I will walk my cart back into the front of the store and just leave the idiot who is too lazy to go grab a spot but wants the short walk.
I’ve never seen a single item left in a cart. Must be a decent amount of alcoholics in your hood to leave cases behind
Meat has been sketchy at all the stores lately. I subbed to Butcher Box and have had good luck with them so far
Same but at Bed Bath & Beyond. Unless the weather was absolute garbage, always volunteered for a good cart run.
I tried to get Kroger to let me do every cart run when I was on shift, unless it was raining, the one summer I worked there, but they insisted cart runs had to be rotated. I would have much rather push carts than bag groceries when everyone else there was the opposite.
When I was a young worker on campus I volunteered to walk over anything that needed delivering. "You're crazy, you want to walk a few blocks in this heat?????" Yes, I would love to get up from my computer and take a walk outside. Preciate it.
