I did the slut and the egg salad. I got there a couple minutes after opening and the line was still 30 deep.
Not even an invite? Is it september 28th? Spoiler I’m kidding, I just booked a trip to Denver for the 28th and 29th gonna stay one night and play 2 rounds of golf
I would absolutely never play $1 blackjack but some people would rather do that just for the free drinks than pay for a drink
The point is to take money from people who probably don’t have enough money to be gambling at all. Also when I lived in LA a friend was a cook at the OG Eggslut DTLA. Felt so good walking up and skipping 75 person line to be treated with a free whatever I wanted. The burger or whatever they call it is elite.
just booked a suite at Vdara for opening weekend of March Madness. will be my first time going, I am very excited.
it's my 40th this year in March so I've been telling people I'm doing it for a couple of years. my 3 best friends since high school and 2 BILs are in so we booked the suite and then if anyone else decides they want to come they can just get rooms.
it's also fully refundable up to 48 hours before so you can just book something and then hope to get people to commit later.
Go to District, its across the way from Eggslut. Big, awesome biscuit breakfast sandwiches and rarely too long of a line. I like it much more than Eggslut.
Forgot to mention we did Amalfi by Flay at Caesar’s on Monday and was awesome. Vegas restaurant week, so was $80 for appetizer, main, side, dessert. Did some Tom Carpaccio spot at the Mirage on Sunday and was trash. That person is forever banned from making reservations.
Going for a bachelor party in July. Staying at Flamingo so hopefully the future sale doesn’t affect staffing too much. Any recs for dinner or night clubs. I’m not sure the best man is fully on top of these things. He’s not the partying type although everyone else is.
Booked a week from today at Bellagio for 3 nights. The algo should give me at least one low play trip before it starts taking away comps, so Imma take their $350 in resort credit and free play on top of the comped room and chill/eat and make It up to them next time. ETA - in my truest fashion I’ve already rebooked to Mirage to score extra comps and have one last ride with the ol’ girl.
for the love of god dont stay at Flamingo. It's a dump Edit: if you have a newly renovated room you should be ok
My GF and I went with 2 other couples who chose to stay at Flamingo. The other 4 wanted to stay cheap (and they did, like $50 a night) but we upgraded our room to a suite and it wasn't that bad and still got it for like $95 a night from Sunday-Wednesday. Everyone had a newly renovated room. The people there are pretty trashy but I would probably stay there again in a pinch.
Goat strip property if I do say so myself. Had a bit of staycation there a few weeks ago. Never disappoints.
Girlfriend’s dad is getting us rooms while he stays Thursday to Thursday. No plans except dinner at Delmonico Friday.
It’s literally right behind it. I went ordered two tacos then two more then went back the next day. And I was walking from park mgm.
Please take notes on the bed if possible. Very much interested to hear a current review. They get the rep of being amazing.
Any recs for a decent steak that isn't super expensive? I know CC is supposed to be good but we are staying at Park and not sure I want to hike that far. Going with my old man and I'm going to desperately try to get him to not order a steak well done.
Excalibur’s is surprisingly legit and affordable, I’ve heard. Edit: apparently it’s permanently closed.
Thats.... Helpful. Yeah I had heard they are decent but never actually been. I will say their buffet is some of the worst food I've had in my entire life.
Define super expensive. I thought Bavettes was good when I went. Cleaver is off the strip (8 min Uber) and very well priced.
I'm hoping less than 50/plate but I haven't been to Vegas since before covid so I have no idea what things cost now. Ellis Island is always in my back pocket.
If anyone is looking for a decent cheaper room (no resort fees) near all the action I would recommend the Jockey Club. It's quiet (no casino), clean and safe. Rooms are dated, but theyre pretty spacious and have everything you need. It's right next to the back side of the Cosmo and shares their parking so they arent going to allow it to be a dump. The "front entrance" is just around the corner from Las Vegas Blvd. There's even an outside elevator that takes you right to Cosmo's gaming floor. There's not really any bells or whistles, but is alright, great location and about 1/2 the price of the "strip hotels". Last time I went with friends I spent the difference eating/drinking and it was well worth it.
What do you pay if you don’t mind me asking? I just looked it it looked like 45 more a night than I paid last time including resort fees.
I went during the week in May and It was like $460-470 for 4 nights. It's not the absolute cheapest, but for being on that part of the strip Aria, Cosmo, Bellagio, Ceasar's it's a bargain. We went into the Flamingo for a second and even the hotel parts had trashier looking people and it was a zoo. Sorry, maybe i should say it's closer to business class prices vs cheap.
https://www.genkoreanbbq.com/miracle-mile this chain opening on the strip is great and going to be so insanely popular
I’m a Amex Hilton credit card holder and I called today to use our free night for a quick Labor Day weekend trip to Dallas. Got done and the rep said “if you stay on the line to hear about a Hilton grand vacation package and we will add an extra 500 Hilton points to your account”. Yeah sure why not, I know I won’t buy anything (thinking it will be several hundred, if not thousands of dollars). Long story short, I paid $165 for a 4 day, 3 night stay at one of 3 Hilton Grand Vacation locations or Trump tower (fuck no) that I have to stay from during a time frame of Aug 26th- Feb 26th. If I book my trip within the next 45 days, they will add an extra night for free. Facepalm. it was a live phone offer and I bit hook, like, and sinker lol. Completely out of character for me. I don’t impulse buy anything. Gotta listen to a bullshit 2 hour timeshare pitch while I’m there. With that being said, if I end up going, I’d probably stay at the HGV Elara hotel which is connected to Planet Hollywood. Anyone have any experience at any of the Vegas HGV properties? Also, feel free to tell me what a sucker/idiot I am. Well deserved haha
I’ve a 7 and 5 year old and arranging child care for them is challenging. Good chance we don’t even go and I wasted $160. Forgot to mention both me and my wife have to be present for the timeshare pitch.
