I think they’re saying they don’t like how people in power use NDA’s to get something they want and avoid repercussions/lawsuits/potential legal trouble. And they are pointing out almost anytime NDA’s come to public attention it’s usually involving the process of a wealthy/famous sexual predator.
it's just sad this is what happened to such an upstanding young man once he moved to that shithole known as Texas.
Watson definitely has the indicators of a sociopath. It’s interesting to think how many sociopaths/psychopaths there are in professional sports that just don’t get exposed.
This is correct and I would say very common in the context of the famous but, man … it sure seems like Houston may have known about and enabled Watson to do why he allegedly did.
He absolutely is dumb enough to think that somehow a massage therapist fell under medical professional/patient privilege.
So Browns are going to have no Watson, no Mayfield, and no picks to take good upcoming QBs? This is a whole new level for them
Lol not really. Any Browns fan who has been around long enough knows the worst possible outcome is to be expected. Something this stupid was inevitable.
If NYT found 66 that tells me there is over 100 out there. Probably far more if you count his Clemson days.
I'm surprised people aren't looking into whether this type of activity was happening while he was in college
TC has visited every massage parlor in the upstate and asked them if they know any football players. we’re going to publish his findings in next week’s substack.
My favorite Browns IG account claims he took court documents to a lawyer and is now convinced Watson is innocent. Every new accusation he melts down.
Absolutely not. Most of the locker room hates Baker, I'd rather Tim Tebow come and play QB than Baker
Wasn't the whole point of the salary shenanigans for Browns to let Deshaun off as lightly as possible if he can't play Year 1? Seems like all this shit is priced in and only jail time will keep him from getting his money.
As a Browns fan, I wish he would rule on a suspension and get it behind us. But if he rules say an 8 game suspension and more stuff comes out??? This is why he is waiting IMO
What would you have him do? I have no desire to defend Goodell but it seems like waiting to make a decision that you won't have to continuously amend is the right play. It's June, nothing of consequence is happening yet.
Did the nfl just defer to the criminal investigation, or did they do their own? If the former, the only real move is to do that and be damn sure it's finished before the first preseason game.
