But for real though, Bill’s gay jokes were probably his only way of getting laughs because he’s really upset you can’t make being gay a punchline anymore
Here to defend Bill again, I don't think he is defending the slurs he just doesnt want those to get in the way of people enjoying a really funny movie.
I’m glad I was in my twenties for the most part of the rated R comedy boom. Fun time at the movies when I could go more.
thank god juliet was on the pod to mention the abortion thing because that was going to be completely skirted on both bill and craig (and probably any other male host)
i think Nora generally sucks and i hate her LOLSORANDOM energy but she is fantastic when talking about Watson and the best amongst all of the nfl media podcasters at conveying the lunacy and disgust with the coverage. I thought she was excellent on the NFL Show today.
Bill gonna move Steph up to top 5 overall after this game that way if the Warriors win the series it was "We just couldn't beat an all timer" and if the Celtics win it's played up as some heroic upset
also somehow this game will be an indictment of LeBron, move Curry past Kobe in his all time rankings, and be used as some bizarre evidence Tatum is still top 5
how can you go from acknowledging that Tatum isn't a top tier superstar to then asking if Tatum and Brown are the best duo in the entire league?
Simmons bitches about Brown's inability to dribble a lot from the pods I've heard. I don't think he disagrees with that take at all. I thought he was actually someone reasonable until he started bitching about Tatum, who he's been pushing as much or more than anyone in the media.
Scroll down to that efficiency section and let me know what you see. Steph also makes his teammates infinitely better while Kobe needed the ball to make an impact. Almost everything that Kobe beats Steph in there is reputation and volume. Kobe is my favorite player of all time, but I think he is wildly overrated.
Because if the first tier is 5 players and Tatum is 6th and brown is X number higher than the teammate of one of the top 5 players then that would make them the best duo.
I indeed scrolled past a long list of accolades & statistical advantages for Kobe, and so on to get to the FG / 3 pt efficiency section. (We're calling awards and accolades "reputation" now?) Sorry, but I'm not calling Steph a better player on efficiency alone, especially when he doesnt contribute much on the other end. This isnt football. The game is played 2 ways The story of steph cannot be told without Durant.
I have no opinion on who is better between Kobe and Curry because 1) I don't care; and 2) I don't want to get yelled at by anyone. Curry shooting 47% for his career from the field when he's averaging 9 3FGAs per game (may of them shots no one else should take) is wild, though. His 15-16 season has to be among the most ridiculous statistical seasons in the history of the league.
1. All star games and all defense are 100 percent reputation awards 2. The story of Kobe can’t be told without Shaq (and Pau…)
I would take Kobe over Curry because of defense but I don't think it's a wild take to suggest that Curry may be better
very fondly, his 5th championship and another Finals MVP (spare me the Boston cac media spin job on Gasol deserving that) keep capping how you’re a big Kobe fan though, we totally believe it
Like i said, a lot of his awards were rep based and his story can’t be told without Pau. you also realize that you can be a fan of something and also look at that thing through an objective lense ?
No it can’t, but the post I responded to was saying the KD thing was something that didnt apply to Kobe.
Kobe was clearly better than Pau, idk how "yeah but look at his teammates" is an argument FOR Curry here
Kobe dragged Smush Parker and Kwame Brown to the playoffs. Steph with Draymond and no Klay missed the playoffs entirely
Just finished we own this city and went back to listen to the prestige tv pod episodes. Wos keeps being hypercritical of the cops and Bill and Chris go dead silent every time. It’s hilarious and depressing.
