Just so everyone knows the backstory: There was some click bait "Best BBQ spot in each state" article and Smoque was the Illinois representative. It used a very unflattering picture to which user Devine took much pleasure laughing at. I responded that it was actually a good spot and Devine then turned his ridicule towards me.
how are the weed shops, michigans prices are incredible so curious how illinois did might swing by to chicago for a few nights after a wedding this summer
We were drinking at Off Color's Mousetrap. Apparently the building down the street had a wall blow off.
Is there any bus fare card or something I should buy ahead of time to swipe when I get on the transit or whatever
you could get a ventra card or you could just use your cc. ventra may be the better option if youre going to be using it a lot.
No more than any of the other wrigleyville bars. Over the last several years theyve all been bought by large equity groups, remodeled and are all basically the same for the most part. The individuality of the bars is almost gone.
Murphy's, Merkle's, Houndstooth, Sluggers would be my classic Chicago spots in that order. As others have said, many of the other spots around there now are pretty corporate. Penny's Noodle Shop is my under the radar food recommendation. Used to live right next door.
I landed at ORD, was just being sarcastic because there was a huge group of hotels by the airport as I was driving out
it always blows people’s minds when i tell them “yes i moved to chicago, but i basically live at the beach”
Speed limits are suggestions on the highways around here. I drive on 294 every day and 80 mph is the minimum acceptable speed.
Now that the cubs have entered the realm of hilariously bad, I hope they give up 30 runs to someone this year. I’ll be disappointed if the Braves don’t put up 40 in this three game set. Edit: wrong thread but still relevant. Not deleting.
