Im guessing you meant -165? I’m a JJ fanboy, but I’m worried about her with this fight only being 3 rounds. She gets better as the fight goes on. Really dumb of the UFC to not make this 5 rounds.
Don't love the card tonight, but we have a lot of bankroll to burn after some monster golf weeks the past month. So let's get on with it: I think the dogs could be barking tonight. Pascual is gritty as hell, I'm not sure Edwards is deserving to be such a favorite. I'll have 0% Edwards on DK, don't see her scoring at all, even if she wins. Pascual is 3rd on the card in takedowns/minute. I'll have some exposure to Pascual, but just a sprinkle. At 7.5k she could be on the optimal with 4-5 takedowns at low salary, and likely low ownership. Hopefully she doesn't get clipped, as I see her winning a decision after a few takedowns and lots of top control. If this wasn't the first fight, I'd be on her even more. I just hate starting the night losing half my lineups off the rip. Gomez Juarez has lost her last two fights by armbar. Na's favorite position? The armbar. Not overthinking this shit, it's women's MMA. Half of the finishes come by armbar from guard. Na ITD and on plenty of DK lineups. Next one is tricky. I'm still a believer in Danaa, who had 3 first round finishes before catching a spinning backfist in the 2nd round of his last fight. I'll be on Danaa, but I don't love it, this should be a pretty greasy fight with both guys having flurries where it looks like they can win. I think Brandon Allen is coming into his own. He's understanding who he is and grapple fucking people now. I still don't think Malkoun is UFC caliber, and is only on the roster as a favor to Izzy. I'll take Allen by 2nd round sub. Interestingly enough, he's not a big scorer on DK, which makes me hesitate to roster him too much at 9k. 14th on the card (out of 22) in points/dollar, 13th in fantasy points per win. Minimal exposure here most likely. Maheshate has won six in a row, 3 of those inside the second round. I'm not sure what the books are seing to open Garcia as the 2nd highest favorite on the card. Most sharps don't see it either, as he had the biggest line movement against him (22nd out of 22). Dana's desperate to find Chinese stars, big money waiting if he can continue to expand into China. I'll take a chance on Maheshate ITD here, and he'll probably be a core play at 7.8k. Same thought process here with Choi. I can see him winning quickly, but he also has a very low floor, only winning 1 of his last five inside the distance. At 9.1k, I'm not sure I'll have much of him. Della Maddalena at 8.2k is very intriguing to me. I bet lots of people will naturally flock to Emeev being a Daghestani, but he's not nearly cut from the same mold as most of those guys. His last finish was 9 fights ago, in 2016. When I saw Della Maddalena at weigh ins, I loved him even more. If you pick a fight with somebody who has a nose like that, you're fucking up. This guy looks like he's been fighting since the womb. Love the price point, and he's #1 on the card in significant strikes/minute. He's finished 10 of his last 11 fights inside the distance, and he'll be a core play for me. Maybe the highest owned guy on the card for me. Fiahlo has made me some good money the past couple of fights with 1st round knockouts. He has the death touch, but this is his toughest matchup to date. I'll have plenty of him, but this one will be greasy. Matthews is tough as shit and will probably be looking to take him down early and often. I'll ride my cash cow though and hope he comes through on the biggest stage yet. Weili/JJ is strange to me. They shouldn't be 8.8/7.4k, this should be 8.2/8. Weili is 11th on the card in points per dollar, 10th in fantasy points per win. Joanna will be super popular, and for good reason. At 7.4k she'll be easy to roster. I'll probably be underweight to the field here, in case Weili wins a decision and neither score well enough to be on the optimal. Are we sure Santos/Valentina isn't Pena/Nunes all over again? Out of character for Valentina to be looking ahead, and she's been very vocal about wanting the winner of Pena/Nunes this week. Santos is probably the most dangerous fighter Valentina's seen in a long time. Not the usual shitty white girls she's been fed the past 4-5 fights. Andrade is the only real threat she's seen recently. Back to Santos, she's 4th in takedowns, has won a ton of fights in a row, with a split decision loss in there along the way. I don't see how I get to Valentina at 9.6k. She probably wants to keep this standing, and Santos will be hoping to get her down and steal a round or two with top control. I'll have a little bit of Santos, zero percent Valentina. Her price is just too high. Since the main was booked, I've been all in on Jiri. And then this week I've lost a little bit of confidence. If Glover can put that old man grip on him and get him to the ground, this gets dicey QUICK. I think this fight is very straight forward. Whoever can dictate the style will win the fight ITD. It's either Glover by sub or Jiri by KO. I'll have plenty of exposure to both. I'd like to construct rosters in a way where I'm sitting pretty with whatever outcome happens here, because whoever wins will likely be on the optimal. Glover will be for sure, Jiri will likely be if he gets a 1st or 2nd round KO. Hope this helps anybody who's playing DK tonight. It's a weird card but I feel pretty good about the picks. Good luck!
So I said all that, but lineup construction dictated we go a little higher on a few, like Valentina, Choi, and Allen. Here's my spreadsheet:
Holy shit. Didn’t do my lineups any favors, but I’m super happy we’ll see Gomez again. She has, um, marketable talents.
Get this out of the way. So quick and accurate with his strikes. His head kicks were barely missing; leg kicks sounded pretty brutal, as well.
