I take it that we’re talking about the Michigan game, but it took me a minute to sort through the mental Rolodex of inexplicably pass heavy BK rain games.
At least no one died in those games. It's a step in the right direction for BK's unwillingness to adapt to weather conditions.
I don’t remember being as angry watching a ND game as I was that NC State game. Threw the ball thirty times in a fucking hurricane. For fucks sake man.
I liked the part where he threw Sam Mustipher under the bus for not performing shotgun snaps perfectly in a hurricane
big powerful offensive line … check big, relatively mobile quarterback … check running backs … check must. throw. ball. classic case of Kelly thinking he’s smarter than everyone else.
he's going to kill wildlife we ended up with a worthless lineman from North Dakota or some shit just because he had an itch to go up there and kill dinosaurs and shit
100+ in the great state of Texas this weekend. I'd be dropping bags in Alaska too if someone offered the pj
Still remember CJ from his brother's story. Really hit me in the feels back in the day and still does.
I don't know how many guys MSU can close on because a lot of the good guys they're in on are from far away, but they're in position to recruit a really, really good class. Especially on defense.
they don’t seem to be fucking around, their visit list is eclectic but it’s coast to coast and lots of good targets hell of a net they are casting- not saying it will be A&Mesque but they certainly could come out of left field and land a top 8ish class good to see a wealthy northern school flexing its muscle appropriately
Some schools have croots take pictures with Natty Trophies, some schools have croots take pictures with expensive cars. Notre Dame has kids take pictures with participation trophies.
i was confused by this, usually this location is where all the rivalry trophies are which ND has all of them. Not sure what’s going on here Kelly loved posting all the rivalry trophies, we had basically zero when he started, it was his Thanos thing he had collected all of them. Of course it’s Navy, Michigan State, Purdue, BC, Stanford, and USC so yea
I think there’s a pretty good chance in the NIL landscape MSU can make a really good move in the B1G to consistently be in the battle for 2nd with Michigan in terms of conference hierarchy. I expect PSU’s recruiting to fall off a good bit and seeing some evidence of that now. Don’t know what Michigan’s appetite is for buying the roster but it’s probably similar to PSU’s if I had to guess.
A lot of the Northern schools are just pretending and hoping this NIL thing goes away. It looks like MSU has at least embraced it which good for them since they dropped $100 million on a coach. Ohio State clearly has an extensive NIL program and are openly building future infrastructure which is expected. ND’s NIL program is obvious considering the recruiting success but as with everything ND it’s extremely guarded to protect the brand. NIL should be where the extremely wealthy northern schools could actually catch up the SEC overtime but to do this PSU, Mich, and even like fucking Minnesota need to go nuts. Every player taken away from the South strengthens the B1G but I’m not seeing this yet at all, the BIG West continues to recruit poorly and the SEC powers are still cherry picking the North. Giving Franklin $100 million without aggressive NIL is a pretty stupid investment
We just lost a recruit to West Virginia due to NIL. I already knew we were in a bad spot but that reinforced it pretty strongly. Now that OV’s have started we are fading fast on many lists.
About 10 days ago, OSU hosted a Corporate Ambassador Program at the arena we use for Olympic sports. Reportedly, representatives from 100 businesses attended. Ryan Day told the audience he needs $13 million in NIL deals to hold his roster together. https://www.cleveland.com/osu/2022/...-together-doug-lesmerises.html?outputType=amp
