Assuming they mean since Luís Campos took over. Also probably since Mbappé resigned, it officially became his team, and they started building around him with guys he’s likely given his blessing.
I think Liverpool can hold on to Kellerher for one more year before he goes somewhere to be the starter. We sort need him as in addition to be a good backup keeper, he is club trained and homegrown and Liverpool are a bit light in that regard.
Silva is a hell of player, and I'd like him to not be at Man City next year. So I support Barcelona reckless approach to acquire him as it has served them well in the past. Most clubs with extreme financial problems would just build around young generational talents like Gavi and Pedri, and lack the vision to continue to buy plug and play superstars to win the Summer Transfer Championship.
Frenkie + £20M at a minimum or they can fuck off. My biggest fear is City agree to sell him since it didn’t happen last summer and then Barca sell Frenkie to United Cash only has to be at least a Grealish
Frenkie has said he wants to be the first midfielder to get the ball from the defenders in build up and you already have Rodri. And aren't City going after Kalvin Phillips? I mean, FDJ would obviously fit like a glove at City. Either way, City are generally smart when buying players, even though money doesn't necessarily matter beyond FFP. Pep did say Matheus Nunes is one of the best players in the world.
I mean I’d rather have Frenkie than Phillips even though I love Phillips. I think he would be the best possible replacement to Bernardo
I do want to acknowledge that since United wouldn’t actually put a more defensive DM in the midfield with him like they should that him going there ultimately shouldn’t be that concerning
They should sign Sangaré from PSV and put him next to Frenkie and let Frenkie be a deep lying playmaker
It would make sense with adding Haaland for City to add more structure to the midfield. I do find it interesting that both Liverpool and City have added a more pure number 9 as their man addition for next season. I know Nunez/Jota can probably go left and exchange more with Diaz than Haaland with Sterling or Grealish.
Their team is still just so disparate. I like Ten Hag, but it’s going to take them at least 2-3 transfer windows to fix the team, and that’s assuming their recruitment improves. There are also huge question marks around Rashford and the back line is a mess. Are they going to be patient if they’re in Europa/Conference League for another 2-3 seasons? I doubt it.
I'd be surprised if United sign two DM's in one window after steadfastly refusing to sign one for several years. Fred is better than McTominay. But they need a striker, a right winger, a rb, a CM at least. I don't know if they were in for Vitinha or not but he'd have been smart. But I don't think you can play Vitinha and Bruno in the same midfield when Ronaldo has to play.
Man U's backline is a mess, but I don't think Varane, Magurie, and Lindelof are as bad as they showed. I certainly like them to be. But Ten Hag also wants to play with a goalie who can pass. That certainly isn't De Gea.
I suspect it is not as bad as it seems as long as Ten Heg brings the goods from a coaching perspective. They finished second just two years ago with a similar squad, but the wheels fell off mentally last year.
Up and coming MK Dons CB Harry Darling has completed a medical and set for a move to Swansea. Was talk of Chelsea, Brighton and Norwich all possibly interested in his services.
It wouldn’t be a transfer thread without a bunch of guys that Milan was going to buy only to find they were too poor to do so
Correct, but they have taken over the board. It's a shit show right now. They haven't renewed Maldini and Massaras contracts which expire end of the month and its fucking everything up.
Big clubs should have been all over this kid. Arguably River's best player for the last year, will be sold for 60 mil in two years
Sounds like PSG is now interested in Kalvin Phillips. Nothing like a little bidding competition between them and City.
Where do you see this? It’s going to happen but I couldn’t find anything when you posted and still haven’t
What's going on with pulisic? Can't imagine he gets much starting time if they make that move. He would probably do better with a move out this summer
To where is the big question. What team will allow him to be a regular starter, and will he be able to handle being a regular without his body falling apart? newcastle?
Milan under Maldini have proven they will stay loyal to the advanced analytics not only for finding talent but players value. With that said it would be nice to make some additions… especially to the RW. I’ve been conflicted about Sanchez, he’s more of a creative mid, that’s not really replacing like for like when it comes to Kessie. Who on our roster now does that? I feel like Bennecar and Tonali are more Sanchez types vs Kessie players. Pobga is also more attacking in nature. I don’t understand why we’re not after a ball winning CDM to pair with three more attacking counterparts. Still Sanchez is Uber talented and bossed our mids in last year.
Well you can cheer up by remembering we’re only 5 months out from the World Cup where Italy can show they’re not just the champs of Europe
