In a thread about crypto/btc, the perspective of a guy who has bought billions of it might be relevant to the non-drive by posters.
Who judge had to pledge more btc to avoid being liquidated on his margin loans? Yeah can’t wait to tune in
Posting in a thread about an asset you don’t own regarding a video that you wanted to say you won’t watch. What would we do without your valuable additions?
If Peter Thiel had a smoking gun on the Blockchain, I suspect he'd be able to make it disappear on the blockchain. Blockchain is great for catching idiots like Jake Paul scamming his fans I'll give it that. But Jake Paul isn't Peter Thiel.
Some ppl like to champion that he's bought 4 billion in BTC. Pretty awesome accomplishment. His blended purchase price is 31k Especially considering he's lost like 1.4 Billion on said accomplishment
You can’t hack or steal from the block chain. The end product and the morons using it are another story.
Law enforcement is booked solid thanks to hiring uneducated yokels that like shooting black people so it can't afford to go after the kind of crime going on in crypto that hurts people on the lower end of the wealth spectrum. It's painstaking to connect the dots and requires clever people who could probably make more money doing something they'd enjoy more.
I mean, if it's a public wallet, all these ppl that steal NFTs....why can't they easily and quickly get returned? Like 5 billion was stolen 10 years ago and they just caught two ppl a few months ago. If it's impossible to hack or steal, seems like these wouldn't happen or take long to resolve
Reading or hearing about planned Libertarian Utopias is a guaranteed good time. Has anyone ever stumbled upon one where they even address the problems like waste disposal and sewage and give an answer that isn't ridiculous?
I know. Your typical comeback is something along the lines of "this guy is rich so we should listen to him" which insinuates he came across his fortune because he's virtuous.
They just spent a few thousand in fake tokens a long time ago there really isn’t more to it than that
Someone got margin called, they couldn’t pledge more assets or meet the call and their fake money got liquidated for real money
The actual blockchain ledger isn't ever scammed, hacked, or stolen. People are losing funds from their wallets by clicking on malicious links and not being aware of the things they are approving/signing on their wallets. In every instance of someone having their bored ape stolen, or wallet drained, you can see the blockchain ledger of it being transferred/stolen/hacked.
These little issues lead to forks in the ledger which can become a major issue where people have gotten screwed out of gains because the fork their entries were in wasn't the most popular forked ledger.
The good news for him and his shareholders is that they can buy now to dollar cost average down from that 30-31k average oh wait they can’t they’re having to pledge assets to avoid being liquidated
Basically, blockchain is like my checking account but without stuff like FDIC protection and avenues to quickly resolve fraud?
Correct. The blockchain is completely decentralized, or that's the intent, which would explain why some people are pushing that libertarian to crypto link.
You guys are all over the place trying to talk the talk while taking a stab at user that it's hard to keep up with the reasons. Maybe you can keep a list for us?
I think we can all come together and agree that someone stealing seth greens ape and him having to halt production on a tv show based on the ape was hilarious
So it is easily scammed and things are getting stolen...the difference is you can directly see the anonymous wallet that took them but nothing. An be done
Perhaps we could have some sort of non-governmental Conflict Resolution Organization that would settle crypto disputes
Have you read the Bitcoin Whitepaper? The "thinkers" that Satoshi guy cited were are big time Libertarians. That link has been there from day one.
You can see the thrives accounts that took your money. But can't do anything about it and will nit get it back.
