Mofo I was about to post this and tag you haha https://gordongoner.com/ Bored Ape Yacht Club is Racist and Contains Nazi Dog Whistles
Interesting because it took me a few minutes to google ‘bayc nazi’ to see this was talked about back in January with many experts dismissing these links you’ve spent time getting familiar with you’re more educated on 4chan, fascism, and libertarianism than me though
Like it's clearly signaling being turbo racists to racist nerds, it's too esoteric to be super influential compared to like tucker being a white supremacist every night on fox, but denial in the space makes me more curious.
Maybe if you’re casually sitting on your computer ready to talk about the link to facism and crypto the image comparison is one of the examples I was referring to. I’ll find it when I’m on my laptop.
Fuck it let’s do it live the first thing on google search dismisses the link between logos https://www.inputmag.com/culture/bored-ape-yacht-club-nazism-racism-claims-yuga-labs-ryder-ripps
not realizing the connections to 4chan culture by the singular ADL person they interviewed is very interesting, as seen by his wishy washy acknowledgement of neo-nazis adoption of all kinds of historical symbolism
User thought I was shilling him an NFT the last time said topic was discussed this much in the crypto thread I was just offering to let him borrow my gutter dog with btc hat but let’s not revisit closed doors one of you might steal it again Nobody here really knows/cares about bored apes other than Seth green got his back finally You’re trying too hard again. Weak is you posting something 6 months old and trying to spin every post into something political and controversial.
the video is INSANE with how nerdy nazis these dudes are, its kinda hysterical. use your smarts for anything positive for the world. but also the denials hold zero water
i read the stuff previously but found it somewhat but not totally coercive the video is VERY ironclad coercive and it was posted today
I don’t need to watch the one hour video to go in circles with you. You’ll still keep rambling on about the same predicable shit. Lol at wasting an hour about a topic or brand I’m not interested in.
Then maybe stop trying to dismiss a very well researched video. I'm usually on your side but you are being insane right now.
so can you give us some pros and cons on why we might want to own a bored ape can I get your thesis just being consistent with the way you converse with ppl here srs
He constantly comes in here trying to make some far right political connection the other day he made a weird entrance to post the suicide hotline forgive me if I’m assuming this guy is trolling and being a piece of shit and that’s insane based on previous interactions instead of watching this video that was just posted
There is no reason to own a bored ape. It's merely a tech speculation product to gobble up excess capital in the economy to the benefit of the rich.
i have read literally 0 of this thread but I agree with this statement. Where do you stand on Bitcoin?
I don’t own a bored ape so haven’t taken the time to make a list never really was a fan of the project or the community either
I guess some ppl where interested in being the first in a new market. Some bought because celebs, athletes, and influencers got in. Seth is using it for some tv show Others have used it to promote their brand, business, music, etc. some are just trying to flip and make money But saying it’s just speculation is inaccurate. Some of the reasons and use cases are also juvenile.
This only seems to be talked about on here atm and ape sales seem to be doing fine in this market so I’m glad I’m not insane and someone else agrees here thanks!
I didn’t watch that whole video but the part that I did is certainly more convincing than the article arguing against the nazi imagery connections. Pretty interesting imo
That dumb little video has section outlining the fraud Yuga labs commits with their celebrity endorsements. They buy an ape, gift it a celebrity, make the celeb sign an NDA saying they cant tell anyone they didn't actually buy the ape themselves. Just basic manipulation and fraud nbd.
Ok give me the chance to watch it. I already told you my response was based on prior interaction and from reading about this back in January. It hasn’t even been posted here long enough for anyone to have fully watched it besides you two that posted it
Didn’t watch video, initially dismissed as Q Anon type post and kept scrolling but see but we’re still discussing. Is it real or nah?
Phillion isn’t the type to put out bullshit for views. It’s so real it could have an actual affect on the BAYC market
Right now the only people posting #BURNBAYC on Twitter are the people behind the video and the same crew behind the articles that were written in January. The guys who started CryptoPhunks and have shilled multiple projects and been incredibly dramatic and toxic along the way.
And their twitter pfps are from a bored ape derivative project --- that they've shilled/promoted. One of the many reasons I dismissed the video early on https://twitter.com/ryder_ripps Very hypocritical if this is all true. But if anyone in this space has followed Ryder you know this is a troll.
lol for someone that doesn't own one and doesn't care about the project, Penguin The Duck sure is going hard in the paint to white knight it
Dear drive by poster, It's called having a conversation. The poster who shared this video is notorious for trying to inject political nonsense into this thread. The video that I've watched so far is ridiculous. You spend a lot of time showing up in this thread for having no clue what you're talking about.
Lol so there's one article where these founders said they launched on April 30th that was a misstell I guess I do know more about the project than I led on. Sometimes I lie dblplay1212 just like this video Blockchain also doesn't say April 30th
He should stop with the FUD and go back to discussing whether Hollywood hunks were all natural or on the juice.
https://cryptopotato.com/bored-ape-yacht-club-bayc-nft/ Only about a few hundred apes during the week and, it’s worth noting, that their owners hadn’t yet seen their NFTs and how they looked. On April 30th, the reveal happened, and once people saw the art, the collection spread like wildfire, and all apes were sold a day later at a price of 0.08ETH each. 30 apes were saved for the team members, giveaways, and promotions.
Spending a lot of time going hard in the paint tonight to argue this. Are you familiar with what set off the reveal? Can you tell us what triggered the reveal to happen, please? It wasn't scheduled for April 30th. It was written in the smart contract to reveal based on a certain number of pre-sales, which someone has recorded on their twitch stream. It was completely random and written in the code based on # of sales, not a date.
