from Loy Spoiler The 247Sports Crystal Ball is a tool that allows analysts the chance to make predictions on where recruits will eventually land. When looking at the 2023 class, I have predicted seven different targets to land with the Fighting Irish. Here is a complete look at my picks and where things stand. Four-star WR Ronan Hanafin (Class of 2023) — Like It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on June 18. I know that Alabama, Boston College and Clemson are in play, but for me, I see this as a battle between the Fighting Irish and Tigers. I believe Tommy Rees and Chansi Stuckey get it done here and I picked Notre Dame to land him following a stellar official visit in South Bend. Four-star WR Rico Flores (Class of 2023) — Love It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on June 13. This is a Notre Dame vs. Ohio State battle. I believe the Fighting Irish will get this one done and I had them pulling ahead after his official visit earlier this month. I have the Buckeyes landing Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, Noah Rogers and Bryson Rodgers. I see Flores eventually joining Braylon James on Notre Dame’s commit list when he commits on July 3. Four-star DL Jason Moore (Class of 2023) — Like It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on May 4. This is a battle between the Fighting Irish, Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State. When I put the pick in, I was told matter of factly that Notre Dame was his leader. I still believe that is the case, but I do believes the others are also in play. While it’s not a done deal, I do believe the Irish are going to be tough to beat. That said, if you talk to sources connected at the other finalists, they have reasons for some optimism as well. Four-star WR Jaden Greathouse (Class of 2023) — Love It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on May 1. I still feel good about it. I believe the Fighting Irish have been the team to beat for a while. Texas and South Carolina are also very much in play, but I believe the connection with the coaching staff is what is tipping the scales toward South Bend. I know others have reported a fall decision, but I’d be surprised if he didn’t commit by the end of the summer. Four-star CB Micah Bell (Class of 2023) — Love It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on Apr. 16. The Fighting Irish offered on March 17 and I wrote at Irish Illustrated that I was already contemplating a Crystal Ball pick in favor of Notre Dame that same day. I held off because I wanted the recruitment to play out a bit, but nothing has changed my opinion. I like the Irish to get this one done when he commits on July 1. Four-star OL Charles Jagusah (Class of 2023) — Like It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on Feb. 6. I was told then that the Fighting Irish already had the lead in his recruitment and Michigan was No. 2 on his list. Fast forward a few months and I still believe that is the case today. Harry Hiestand has made him a priority and I believe that connection will play the biggest factor. I like Notre Dame slightly ahead of Michigan. I'll know more after his official visit wraps up tomorrow. Four-star CB Christian Gray (Class of 2023) — Love It — I picked Notre Dame to land him on Dec. 12, 2021. I felt great about it then and still feel the same today. LSU has made this much closer than even I expected and that’s a credit to their coaching staff especially Robert Steeples, but in the end I do believe he’ll pick the Fighting Irish when he commits on July 4. I just don’t see this as a recruitment that Mike Mickens and Marcus Freeman are going to lose. FOUR PICKS FROM THE CLASS OF 2024 I have four 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions in for Notre Dame from the class of 2024 and I still feel good about all of them. I have the Irish landing four-star receiver Cam Williams and four-star tight end Jack Larsen before the end of this summer, believe the Irish slightly lead over Ohio State for five-star safety Peyton Woodyard but admittedly, that one is real close, and like Notre Dame to eventually secure a commitment from four-star linebacker Anthony Speca whenever it comes time for him to decide.
so based on the article above, the silent commits are Christian Gray/Greathouse/Micah Bell/Rico/Cam Williams/Jack Larsen that's really great group that would fill a ton of needs on the perimeter
We could really fill most of the rest of our class in the next 4 weeks. Would definitely make honing in on top targets even easier later on
apparently Brauntae Johnson was on campus w/ his dad over the weekend and we have a significant lead for him according to ISD
Recruiting the tier of WRs slightly above PSU/UM/MSU and slightly below OSU/UGa/Bama is looking pretty good for us right now. One or two of those will turn out to be studs
Would be nice to get one of those top tier receivers each year, and I think we will. Stuckey came into this halfway through the cycle and is still doing a really good job. He should be able to do even better if he has more time to build relationships with the top croots.
he's a fringe 5* at what is currently the weakest position group on the team, I say give him a shot at wide out
no he’s like a back half 150-275 type athlete if I had to guess where he ends up kid wasn’t even in the top group at Irish Invasion
I think he’s a big, fast younger athlete but I don’t see 5 star WR on his film yet. Not a natural on offense right now
he worked out mainly as a DB at Irish Invasion and his hands aren't great (from what people are saying who watched him) so I think safety is a good bet it's crazy, both our safety and WR board looks pretty darn great for 2024 Safeties that are highly considering ND - Brauntae/Woodyard/Ricardo Jones (from UGA) WRs - Mylan (from Fort Wayne with an OSU offer and we lead according to ISD)/Cam Williams (silent)/Emmett Moseley (double legacy and we even offered his 8th grade brother for good measure)
QB camp dude Steve Clarkson’s son is committed there and he has folks around him dropping bags to make sure he has weapons. I’m sure people are willing to get over a couple N words for some Papa John’s cash too.
i love big ben, but he's had a noodle for an arm for a while. be nice to see what chase can do with a QB that can stretch the field
