It’s really impressive how bad Mo Brooks is at campaigning. 50 point lead in the polls and Trump’s endorsement, and he gets blown out.
Guess you have oatmeal for brains too. But what would we know. Not like we’ve ever been in front of any of them.
lots of people not understanding there is essentially no democratic party in Alabama and the best we can ask for is "not indicted" most of the time.
I think because people see that we still have a chunk of Democrats in legislature that the party is still even a minor threat. They don’t understand that those people are there solely because of concentration of minority populations in a few places. In almost all of the state, outside of the Black Belt, the party is almost non-existent.
Lot of false hope given from Doug Jones and Georgia. When in reality it was never about accepting Doug Jones but rejecting Roy Moore. And Alabama doesn’t have a fraction the transplants that Atlanta has offsetting the traditional red vote. In reality, Alabama is a 65-35 red state and it will take a pedo who has been removed from office twice to make it purple.
I grew up in NW Alabama where Dems still were the power party until 10-15 years ago. But now, they’re wiped out.
I don’t think anyone ever expected Alabama to go the way of Georgia. Most immediately understood that Doug Jones was a one-time, one-term Dem victory.
There were more write-in votes that Doug’s margin of victory. I can’t stand Britt, and her stupid, shamelessly pandering campaign deserved to get her ass embarrassed. But, I reserve some hope that she won’t actively embarrass us. She’s a piece of shit, but a corporatist piece of shit is probably better than a populist piece of shit.
I absolutely talked politics in elementary school, but growing up in Montgomery and going to school where I did a lot of people’s parents were directly involved in politics.
Yes dbl I’m not from shitty ass Mobile, parents talked to their kids about elections, voting etc where I’m from.
kids absolutely do. It’s very superficial and just echos what is heard at home but it is discussed amongst kids.
Definitely did. I knew kid's political leanings going back to Dole vs Clinton (We even had an election in our elementary class). Like others have said, it was very superficial and it was talking points they clearly heard at the dinner table.
Elections were part of elementary school, I was the campaign manager for Bush in our school bc he was the guy I was supposed to like, but don't think I ever sat down with others kid to discuss our party affiliations. You post said you didn't know a Dem until you left for Atlanta so it seems like you grew up in a shtty area too so chill with the Mobile shade.
Yea we had the election thing too. They asked me to be a campaign manager and I said I'd do it if it was for Bush . I don't remember sitting around and talking affiliations though. Maybe we did and I don't remember. Kids definitely learn more earlier now though.
The extent of my political knowledge in elementary school was knowing that Bill Clinton was president and Ross Perot was running for president in 1996 because my best friend's name was Ross.
I distinctly remember a kid in my class having a Dole Kemp '96 beach towel at a pool party. Which is sending so many red flags to my brain right now.
Shut the fuck up dbl, you’re the one who acted like it was bizarre to know about politics in elementary school
Bad day? I acted like it was weird to know party affiliations of all your friends in elementary school. No need to get upset and defensive.
Lol you always do this, you pick a fight (you quoted me a SECOND time after I ignored your dumb ass) then act indignant when people call you out for being the dumbass that you are. I’m going to bed.
yes i know tubs isn't a speaker but this seemed to be the place where the most katie britt discourse took place and the herschel inclusion is fucking hilarious
Why does a platinum sponsor cost twice as much as a gold sponsor when gold is worth twice as much as platinum?
Why is the sky blue? How does the sun set? How's the posi-trac rear end on a Dodge Plymouth work? It just does.
Mind you that’s a guy black families sent to care for their children. He should be put aganist a wall for those kind of comments imo. Literally just called every black American a criminal
They just get more extreme and no one does or says anything about it in the national media. Hell the new CNN guy is actively trying to court these nazis to his programming
The video headline on their site right now even misses the point entirely, but in all fairness, the CNN panel roasts him pretty well in the clip.
Because calling him racist would cause racists to like their content headline should be “Tommy Tuberville implies that all black Americans are criminals”
