I’m very annoyed by how stupid they are about the whole changing the course of history thing. Allison going to look for her child is just stupid.
I liked this season. Still so many questions but hopefully they’ll get another season to tell the story.
No idea. I didn’t get a good look at his book. I have about 4000 more questions and got none of my previous ones answered. The style, humor, and banter of the show continues to be excellent but the plot and some characterizations are often moronic.
I was not aware of Emmy Raver-Lampman’s (Allison) Broadway background or that she is in a long term relationship with Daveed Diggs. She was in the ensemble for the original Hamilton cast and understudy for all 3 lead female roles and then got one of the leads for the original Chicago show and national tour.
Binged through the whole show in the past 2 weeks. S1: took at least 5-6 episodes before it was any good. really really slow burn build up. Last 4 episodes were really good TV though and got me excited to continue on to S2 S2: really good season of TV from start to finish. S3: honestly not a good season of TV at all. An incredible amount of screen time wasted on dialogue that didn't even end up seeming to be relevant to the plot Luther is one of the worst characters in television. Definitely the worst of any superhero show/movie I can think of. His entire story arc is a bad one. Allison went from awesome character to the absolute worst. I'd compare it to how awful the writers of the final season of GoT did with Khaleesi. Her spiral into being evil was just done really really badly and all her solo-story scenes with Ray, etc fell absolutely flat for me in S3 Page's acting doesn't do Vanya/Viktor a bit of justice. The character could be good but there's no way anyone is actually invested in the Sissy/Harland stuff (or the leonard story) because of how poor the acting is. The Viktor-Allison beef scenes were just bad too Klaus and Five are fantastic characters and carry the show. Klaus took about half of season 1 to become one of my favorites but these two, especially Five, were by far the best thing in seasons 2-3 Diego grew on me when Lila got added to his story. They have good chemistry together in scenes and were some of the funnier parts of S3 I get that in a lot of TV it's essential to the plot for characters to withhold absolutely critical information from everyone else for some ulterior motive. I get that and it's in a lot of shows. But holy fuck I've never seen it used to this extent in any show or movie in my life. Five has his reasons... totally get that (and a lot of times he just doesn't give a fuck to explain it to his seemingly dumb ass siblings) and that's fine. But literally every character on the show seems incapable of using the english language to divulge mission critical information to everyone around them during brainstorming missions or when they're having a veeeeery serious conversation with a sibling and said information would probably diffuse the situation immediately, ie - when Allison goes to the cabin in S1 to get Vanya. belabors the shit out of the fact that Leonard killed his dad and is untrustworthy.... but hey don't discuss the actual catastrophic information you have that he is partially responsible for the apocalypse. Luther and Vanyiktor are the worst about this. They come across as the dumbest superheros in the history of comics and at some point it just becomes an annoying way to keep problems from being resolved. Sorry for the rant. Watched the last 6 episodes of S3 last night and honestly was a little pissed off at the show by the end of the night.
When Allison & Viktor go the Sparrows and Allison just starts making shit up on her own was terrible. Also agree Allison sucks now and 5 & Klaus are awesome. Loved the scene with Klaus learning to control coming back to life especially
Klaus is incredible. “I pronounce you married as shit!” the lone redeeming element of the wedding penultimate episode.
I thought it was a good season but the wedding episode was meh. Left off a bit odd with the new direction. oh and I love Sloane
So Allison and Reggie got to rewrite the universe the way they wanted. Allison got rid of Claire's real dad and replaced him with someone she likes more, she included sparrow Ben but not Slone because she is spiteful. That is super shitty. And Reginald is now super powerful, has his wife back, and the umbrellas don't have powers anymore (besides maybe Allison). No clue where they go from here, but with Netflix cutting costs I have a feeling umbrella academy is done, because that season was super meh
I think its more the director and writers took the character in a dumb direction. I think Page is doing what he is being asked to do.
