My 12 pro max battery has just decided to go to shit in the past couple months after rarely going below 50% after a whole day of use. Now I can't make it 8 hours without going down to 20% with minimal use compared to what I used to do.
I’d still get a 7 when they release the 8. Either a markdown or someone selling to get an 8. I got a stainless 6 with the stainless band for less than the new stainless 6 (band is easily +$400) take advantage of the annual upgrade people
hi friends - i have a question that is really stumping me. I'm trying to prevent my AirPods from switching devices automatically. doing the Google search, it says to go into Settings-->Bluetooth-->Select the "i" next to my AirPods-->"Connect to this iPhone"-->"When Last Connected to this iPhone". Problem is, I don't have the "Connect to this iPhone" option in my settings. Does anyone have any advice or tricks around this problem? Or any idea why I wouldn't have this option available? I have 2nd gen AirPods (i believe) and the iPhone 13 Pro.
Weird. I see it. I have the same version of AirPods and am running an iPhone 12. I have an airpod in one ear and I see Connect to this Phone directly beneath Auto Ear Detection
i'd guess they aren't connected to another device "properly" so you can forget them and re-pair to each device individually (so tap on the "i" and hit forget this device on each one you pair them to)
Apple engineers were scheduled to call me at 4:30 today regarding my Apple TV+ problems. I told them I couldn't take the call until after I get home from work. So what do they do? They tried calling me at 3:15 when I was still at work and told me I would have to reopen my case since I didn't answer
it's also a thing the US doesn't need to do the EU is pretty much driving that change and it's not like tech companies are going to make a US only version
100%. I'm actually more for the EU controlling this than US because this standard will never get updated. Or if it does the supreme court will rule the executive agency doesn't have the authority just because they dont want to buy new adapters.
I updated my iPhone to the iOS 16 public beta late last week and my standby battery life has been significantly reduced. Went to bed last night with it at 51% and when I woke up about 7 hours later it was at 31%... Think I'll restore my phone to the iOS 15 backup when I get home.
I don’t get it either especially if it’s your main device. early versions are always glitchy AF, more problematic than anything.
Sometimes it's pretty good, sometimes not. Other than standby battery life not being good it's been a pretty good experience thus far.
Battery life s usually shit with every new full number release and doesn’t get fixed until at least the first patch. Can’t imagine how awful a beta build is.
who sleeps without phone charging. I like the beta. Did it for new watch os with improved running tracking. CarPlay Siri also Works better with improved sounds. It’s the small things.
I almost never charge overnight anymore. I just charge when I need it or if I know I will be away from a charger for a long period of time, which is almost never.
Not sure if this is the correct thread, but I updated my phone to iOS 15.6 last night and now it keeps saying my phone is out of storage. Just deleted like 5GB off, and 30min later it’s saying it’s back to full. This update had to have added 10+ GB. Is this something that happens? Anyway I can go back to previous iOS assuming this is the problem? In my storage breakdown it says iOS is now using 8.2GB and System Data is now 29.8GB. Which isn’t ideal when I have 64GB total.
Yeah it did. I ran up to the Apple store to see if they had a solution. They told me just backup my phone and factory reset it. Got home started backing it up (I didn’t use iCloud until now lol). After it successfully backed up, I checked and my storage is back to 43/64GB so not sure what happened. That system data is down to 11GB. That update must have screwed something up, but for now it’s fixed. Apple must have wanted my 2.99/month.
iOS & macOS cache what needs to be backed up (the differences between the last backup and for when you do your next backup) so once you do a backup, that cache gets cleared
To be honest I never really did lol I had the same phone for like 6-7 years and one time I got a new one through Verizon insurance so I did it through iTunes/my computer. Then when I got my current phone a couple years ago I did the thing where it transfers wirelessly or whatever.
That makes sense. I knew my phone was not anywhere close to being full without the cache being included.
FLOLAB Nano Armor screen protector just saved one of my iPhones for the second time in two years. Can’t recommend them enough (combined with a decent case).
Not apple specific but cell phone. I’m investigating some online usage history call logs from December to verify some information on my phone usage. I was looking to see when I tried to call a person and when they called back so I could note the delay. oddly for a couple day’s including overnight. I see multiple. Like 100+ outgoing call’s from my phone to this person usually 1 min in length. Sometimes 2 or Even 10. At times it was 20x in an hour at 2am when I know I was asleep and certainly not calling this person. wth is going on? I got a creepy feeling this is some tracker pinging the tower for location tracking? I had no call’s recorded on the phone but att shows 100 call’s in 18 hours. Thoughts how to research or try att customer service (ugh)
FBI is def sniffing you out my dude get an attorney asap Spoiler I’m kidding I have no idea what’s going on with that but hope you can solve it.
I’d take this question to Reddit, your cell provider’s Reddit page, there’ll either be people who’ve encountered similar or an employee who might know what’s up. Juggsian research says it’s usually a shared Apple ID, calls enabled across multiple devices issue. Though your issue sounds different in number of calls to one number.
You got a kid? Could they have made calls? Don’t think pinging towers would show up as calls on a bill or whatever, but I also am just a poster on the main board dot com.
No, honey, I don’t know anything about 1-800-SEX-6969 calls all through the night are about, I know I for one was asleep, promise.
Reading no new design and no new sensors for the upcoming Apple Watch 8. If true, maybe I'll just look into getting a new battery for my 5. Apple needs to start picking it up a notch here. Three years and only major update is slightly bigger and a blood oxygen sensor.
Debating Apple Watch 7 vs sticking with garmin. Battery life is my biggest apple hang up. I like to wear my watch to bed for tracking sleep and time checks. Very used to 24/7 wear and charging once a week for 20 minutes. Is 18 hours accurate for battery life?
watch 8 should be announced in a few weeks if you can hold off also, yes. You’ll need to charge the Apple Watch daily so sleep tracking is tougher than other types
