I think Senators becoming presidents like every election cycle is a relatively new development and probably correlates pretty closely to our total disfunction, (W and Trump stealing elections aside) considering how much they love the senate and how it is by its very nature racist and regressive.

I guess this goes here. my wife was talking to her colleague that runs the OB residency at her hospital and he brought up the fact that in states where abortion is outlawed residents will not be able to get the hours/certification mandated by the national accreditation board now.the downstream impact is that those programs will be a a disadvantage competitively and we will have classes of graduates who will lack the experience necessary to treat women in need.

Was talking about how bad it will be on not just the lower class but also middle if they ban contraceptives. Lots of parents who voted all red are going to be raising their grandchildren now that their kids can’t use birth control. They thought gas prices were making their lives hard.
