Ftr the Kroenkes are definitely cheap and I'm entirely convinced that the Nuggets will not pay the tax this season even though they'll have to become a worse basketball team to make that happen
They got Kobe for Vlade Divacs and Pau for the rights to his brother. The AD trade turned out being a lot because he’s soft but they got a title. Arguing the Lakers don’t win most trades is crazy. I know Shaq was coming no matter what so anything you get is ok, but Odom, Brian Willams and a late first isnt much.
There are a shit tons of angles in the Kobe trade...but I'll point out that Vlade wasn't a chump and getting him for an 18-year old wingman straight out of HS at that time wasn't viewed as a fleecing. Also, Marc ended up a helluva player but at the time that looked like much more of a fleecing than it was.
I mean sure, the Kobe trade was ok because of Vlade being established and the Gasol trade was ok because of how he ended up. That’s playing both sides to make it seem ok, but I really don’t want to argue if Lakers fans don’t think they benefit from trades. All good.
That Gasol trade basically set up the entire Grit N Grind era of Memphis considering they got Kwame Brown's expiring contract in it which opened up cap space to sign Z Bo
Can't wait for Kyrie to miss some games next year to take a pilgrimage to a sacred tree in Zambia to smoke some toad venom while Mercury is in retrograde
Tony Bradley opten in for his $2m player option. His FA market must have been non-existent to opt in for that "little."
I had to Google Tony Bradley to see what team he was on now so he should probably take that player option
When you average 3 and 3 in 10 minutes per game in your 5th season, I'd say taking a guaranteed $2M is a wise move.
“The Jalen Brunson” sweepstakes especially if Randle is gonna hold it at the elbow for 12 seconds and take a contested fade away
This is why Nico grabbed Winwiddie from the Bullets and we have Timmy coming back from injury anyways
