Beef with broccoli is never bad unless you get the PF Changs bullshit at your grocery store(fuck PF Changs) my local place is all or most Asian, love Mongolian beef
Crab rangoon with all the fake imitation crab and cream cheese you can fit in a wonton, general tsos with that sweet, awful sugary sauce, Put it over fried rice, preferably a veggie fried rice, and I'll be satiated for 1.5 to possibly 2 hours
You need a real spread. Get the aforementioned Tsos and Sesame noodles. Add in some egg rolls (hopefully with the bright red sweet and sour dipping sauce), side of bok Choy, scallion pancakes if they have them and whatever the most non-Americanized pork or beef dish on the menu is, preferably spicy. Double cooked pork is always a strong play or some other Szechuan inspired dish. Or just pivot back to good old beef and broccoli. Don’t be shy with that menu
yea I almost didn’t write it because I’m not sure how it classifies but it’s the goat mall food court food.
I really like orange chicken but sometimes it has pieces of the orange peel in it and that really bothers me.
Also I think many on here know that I'm juvenile diabetic. During my sophomore year of college my blood sugar got really low while we were out walking around. We went to a Chinese buffet and I ate 29 of those amazing fried donuts. Easily one of the healthiest things I've ever done.
For a single dish, I'll go classic with the house special fried rice (combines all the proteins). Beyond that, a tie between sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian beef.
Orange chicken can be too orange-y so I rarely get it. Panda express had the sauce perfect imo though I haven’t ate there in probably a decade.
The family needed food on the quick driving on vacation and we stopped into a Panda Express. I got the Shanghai Beef with my usual Kung Pao Chicken, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm going to have to circle back.
Combo platter of chicken and broccoli, no broccoli, with white rice. $1 extra chicken and extra sauce on the side for the rice. Apps: Crab Rangoons Chicken on a stick.
General Tso's or Orange Chicken are always the center piece for me. Goons and fried rice or lo mein are usually supporting players. A great hangover meal, and one of my go-to's the day after a wedding or bachelor party weekend.
